brake pads

i just got a 1995 vmax with 38000 miles. the brakes arent very good and i was going to start by trying new pads. any suggestions?

Yea I put EBC HH pads on my '86 after them being recommended here, and they are much much better than whatever pads were fitted before!

Of course it's not superbike brakes, but you can also upgrade by fitting R1 rotors and calipers if you're so inclined..

I replaced my rear pads with stock oem and every time I used the brakes it sounded like school bus brakes. Switched to EBC, problem solved.
