I love the look of the current Max. Yes it is a little outdated, but I love that cruiser bike on steriods. I think if they kept the same general look of the current Max but modernized it by adding a 18" 200 back tire, beefier R1 like front forks (chrome or black), R1 brakes (chrome), quad chrome...

Yes I know, there is no sealant suppose to be there but it seems that when I took off my clutch reserve cover to replace it the gasket (big surprise on an 86 right, I think I have replaced every fu%^ing gasket on the bike so far:bang head: :bang head: ) was f#@ked. I have ordered a new gasket...

On a side note, does anyone know where I could get a carb cover (3 are in good shape but one of them has a filler used in it (maybe to fill a dent). And are the covers supposed to have 3 phillips screws and one hex head?????

I know they are not called carb gaskets, but what ever the hell they are called mine are cracked as sh#t. When I called yamaha he said they were $110:surprise: and I needed 4 of them. I almost sh%t myself:damn angry: ! Is there anywhere else I can get these things for a better price?? Thanks

From all my posts you all know by now I have a 86 max. It has supertrapps and everything else is stock. What mods should I do first? What do you think of the T-boost? Maybe a fork brace? Anyway of getting the discoloration off the beginning of the supertrapps? Is the K&N a noticeable...

Slow start up I have a 86 vmax that I bought last week and thought the battery was bad, because it was very hesitant starting, so I bought a new battery and it is still fairly hesitant:bang head: . It starts but seems to struggle. Any ideas, maybe the alt? Thanks for the help.

I just got a 86 max and noticed a toggle switch by the engine. When should I use is, all the time or just when in traffic? On a second note, how much is powdercoating, eg wheels - chrome vs PC. My bike needs some cosmetic work and I was thinking of getting a lot of it powdercoated, handlebars...
