Ive noticed if I hammer out of a corner , the oil light comes on once in a while and also if I get up around 7 or 8 k in the revs. What could this be a sign of? The motor was rebuilt by pcw and has the upgraded oil system in it.
Is there any big bore or stroker kits available for a gen 1 and if so are they worth it and how much and where can I find parts... I would like some more juice under me its a fun bike but it's less than impressive, I don't feel like it lives up to the stigma
So since I am new to owning a max, what is the proper height of the front and rear suspension? Also maybe if you know the proper static sag? I'm pretty sure it is not set up right
Its a radial up front and a bias ply out back I'm assuming. If its lower from the r1 conversion I'm guessing thats why I drag the kick stand? Is there anything i can do to the drag? Also the tire is a little cupped but its almost like tank slap
Hey all, I went from a 2004 r1 to an 85 max. Its got the r1 modedfront forks, gusseted swing arm... At around 80 in a corner still hard on the gas it wiggles like its doing the mocarina how can I fix it?
The bike has the r1 fork mod done to so I have that already gling for me.. Thats why I wanna match the rear... How much for the direct fit.... Its a shaft drive
I have seen gen 1 vmax bikes with a 17 inch wheel, and I want to do this to mine. Who can help me find someone who can modify the wheel to acxept the shaft drive
It has the r1 fork conversion, Idk if that makes a difference, also the kickstand is "loose" when its up it can move like 1.5 inches.... Is there a way to relocate the kickstand, or get a,differnt spring
I can weld really well so if it is acceptable to move the kickstand I could definitely do it
