    One carb misbehaving.

Hi I had assumed the problem was airscrew O ring related as the problem cane on suddenly and replacing the O ring has stopped the fuel being on the diaphragm. When I reassembled the airscrew I did not turn it in enough so when I backed it out the measured turns it was too far out. I went out...

    One carb misbehaving.

Done a plug chop and #1 still too rich but no fuel on diaphragm. To weaken the mix do I turn the airscrew in or out please?

    One carb misbehaving.

Thhank you. Think I have sussed it. The O ring for the Airscrew seems to have disintegrated with the bits blocking the other jet. All back together and test drive went well. Will pull the plug when it cools down a bit.

    One carb misbehaving.

I have a 97 Canadian spec with 20k on the clock. Until recently it was running nicely. About 130m to reserve. Recently I noticed the slide of carb 3 was lagging behind very slightly when revved but vacuum readings were identical and it has recently had carbs ultrasonically cleaned and been on a...

    Supertrapp setup

Thanks for your reply. If I can't sort it easily,Alfs have a dyno. Not checked voltage as it starts immediately even with the headlight on ( which I can't turn off). Once the revs pick up it really flies so I'm convinced it's a carb/ mixture issue. Ml

    Supertrapp setup

I finally had the carbs ultrasonically cleaned. Thanks Alfs Worthing. However although the pick up is better it still runs badly at low revs. It's ok when cold but gets worse as it warms up. At higher revs (2500) it smooths out and thereafter goes like a rocket.. I have 6 discs on the cans...

    Supertrapp setup

Great video but what is the cleaner and can I get it here? Can't use the bike at the moment as I started to fit engine bars and some of the fixings are wrong. Hope to get it sorted Monday. Thanks for the help. M

    Supertrapp setup

Hi I looked at the video. No sign of what I have. Not able to send picture at moment but imagine a 4" washer with a 1" hole , with a 3" long pipe over that hole to form a T. The end away from the washer pointing into the can. Seems to me that would greatly increase back pressure from the...

    Supertrapp setup

Hi I have, what I'm told is a Canadian spec (55mph in red) with V Boost imported direct from Japan. It has 4/2 stock headers running into Supertrapp cans. Because the bike seemed to be running badly at lower revs.It smells rich and is uneven (but beautifully smooth when the revs rise) , I...

    Temperature gauge doesnt register.

Thanks for all your help. When it was hot the sender was 220 ohms, now, cold it's 750. No wonder it's not registering. I will order one. Thanks again. M

    Temperature gauge doesnt register.

Hi In fact I have done more investigation. If you short the sender cable to ground the dial goes full scale. This suggests to me that the sender is defective. If the thermostat was stuck open, I would think that it would have registered something on the gauge. I also shorted the fan...
