I'm down on the Mighty Ohio River. Portsmouth if you guys ever want to hook up fir a ride.
I try to drag my silver and black 98 every time I can. Including today.
My 82 Suzuki GS 1100L had 42mm cards probably not factory though, but 200 mph was as easy as twisting the throttle and was so much more manageable at high speed than my 98 Vmax. But again it had many mods to it also. But I've found the vmax at full throttle is 150 mph blur...gotta love it
Maybe I'm getting too old but I'm not sure if mine kicks in on It's own at 6000, but...at 6000 life is a blur. I couldn't imagine any extra boost.
That said mine has the toggle switch and at highway speed if I flip it forwards in notice better performance immediately.
Backwards it seems to run...
I was 20yrs old in 1985 and had just purchased my first street bike, a yamaha maxima 400. When I went to pick it up there was a display of the new Vmax with a brand new bike and a factory sponsored video playing.
Sadly I couldn't afford the Vmax.
2 months later I had totalled the 400 and still...
Thanks guys..I feel like I nit only got the Vmax I've always wanted but also found a family of brothers.
One last thing for now, someone obviously added these things and also put on a set of carbon fibre mufflers (that don't get hot ) but also he added air inlets on each of the carburettors not...
I was just afraid of starving a cylinder or flooding it.
Also probably fir a different thread but what fuel do you guys use?
I read where it need Premium and it seems to not like it. Spits and sputers
Same here mine is on the frame just ahead of the faux tank however I was told that when the switch is in middle position its off, pulling it towards the rider adds a certain percentage of boost and if pushed forward adds the total boost. It seems to run a little smoother in either position...
