    Lazy Vmax

6k miles in 18 years and low power, I would say your carbs are not too healthy. Check ur fuel filter. Look for rust in the tank.

    Coming back to life!

Exactrep mega brace finally arrive but without hardware. I had to scavenge some from a bag of salvage Vulcan hardware I bought off eBay. Cut down to length and sanded.

Replaced my dry rotted rubber dampers for my side panels. I have the ones for the rear fender too, but haven't put them on yet.

Holeshot frame braces and a kickstand off an 05 to replace my rusty one. Transatlantic cargo container shipments are not kickstand friendly.

Installed progressive 444 shocks, pulled the rear wheel, and set about changing the rear factory tire for a 170.

    WTS VMax Billet Fork Brace

I believe it an Exactrep mega brace. After a quick trip to the bead blaster to tone down the scuffed polished aluminum, it is now nicely uniform. The problem is it doesn't fit my 1993. I'm assuming it is for 85 to 92. $70 shipped.

I got the green and just gently bend your bikes eyelets to match up with the spade terminals and rotate the factory boots to cover the terminals. Easy. Back together. Now just need to sync carbs.

    Coming back to life!

Slowly coming back. Still need to change the oil, final drive oil, coolant. I got a yuasa battery from Yamaha parts but will likely go with the gold wing battery next time.

    Y cover on airbox

What are you guys using as spacers? Just some 1/4" length fuel hose at the mounting points?

    Coming back to life!

Thanks for the suggestions. After I pulled and replaced the tank, I replaced all the fuel lines, fuel pump, filter, and had the carbs rebuilt by BRC.

    Coming back to life!

Thanks to all the posters on this forum, their information, and assorted parts / services for helping me bring my 1993 Vmax back to the road. I bought it new in late 1992 over a satellite relay call from NCTAMS MED Naples, Italy to Ohio. I had it shipped over in my personal goods which consisted...
