Help! Put in clutch now rock hard lever

Got it working! Thanks guys for your input. Works much better. Ill eventually need new steelies due to the fact mine were burnt up pretty bad. I sand papered with 400 grit best I could without removing too much material. But hoping it will last till winter, when I can do new friction, steelies...

Did I lose performance from removal vboost butterfly?

I haven't taken things apart to see what I have but guy I got my 90 model from said they did 1280 kit, stage 7 and removed vboost butterfly. I hear vboost cycle when ignition turned on but no "boost" feel. Does this hurt my performance? Should I fix it? The cyl has a scratches mark in it, he...

More than 1 clutch cover gasket on gen1?

I'm looking to order a clutch cover gasket and it lists the '86 then '96 and newer. Huh? Is there more than 1 gasket for the gen 1? I thought they were all the same. His place is 35% cheaper then everywhere else but I've got a '90 and don't want to order the wrong one. I'm hoping the supplier...

    Bicycle pegs into highway pegs

They are 1/2" shorter then the riders pegs. Just a temp thing till I can get real ones that fold. I love the riding position though.

    Bicycle pegs into highway pegs

I was rummaging through my garage and thought I try and make some highway pegs for added comfort on long rides. I used the bicycle pegs, 5-1/2" grade 8 bolts and 18mm deep well socket. I removed the upper motor mount bolt from the motor mount on frame and it is replaced by the grade 8. Doesn't...

    Tall guy Vmax comfort mods

I have the same mirrors. I really like them. But I mounted mine upside down. The hang below bars and give bike a low, mean look. Still usable just getting used to looking under your arms takes a min to get used to. I gotta find some buell pegs, looks great!!!

    My first Vmax, I'm hooked!!

1990 model. -Red LED strips to highlight engine and make scoops look mean -bar end mirrors -Vmax seat cover -using aluminum rivets to give it a real mechanical look Not done yet -picking up a used 18" rear wheel in two weeks -drag bars around the same time

    feeling sad and cheeted

Those wheels are awesome!!! Curious, how much do both the sets sell for? New to Vmax. Just got my first and won't be my last. Love it! I'm slowly working on getting the handling in check. Can be scary. But add ons go slow. I'm the only income in my family and have 2 sons. Money goes quick and...

Need to lift bike. Purchased w/o center stand

Center. Totally spaced out tire pressure. Duh.... Rear was 42, little high. But the front was at 12psi!!! I had just checked them last week so I never bothered to check. Don't know why it was so low. Fixed about 60% of the slow speed wobble. I think the rest is normal Vmax. But Atleast driving...

Need to lift bike. Purchased w/o center stand

So I can put the cup of the jack right where the stand goes? Sweet! Ill give that a shot soon as a buddy shows up. Then he can hold and balance it for me while on a 6" pad. Lol. Then I guess its check the fork oil level and neck bearing. Along with wheel bearings. Am I missing anything else...

Need to lift bike. Purchased w/o center stand

As far as the tires go, front is pretty new. Still has rubber nipples 1" in from sidewall and I don't wheelie this bike so no cupping. Other than ripping in a strait line, I take it vey easy through corners. Now the rear, the center is wearing down. There is a safe amount of tread left but it is...
