I've never had to turn my mirrors around. But you guys are right, most Vmaxs should kill most 109s. And the 109s are to big, IMO.

You local Yamaha dealership should be able to get you the paint code. If they won't PM me and I'll ask mine, I've got them before.

As far as I remember they didn't make a 1987 Vmax. I had a 86 and I remember no 87's and a big front page article in Cycle World in early 88 about "The Max is Back". I've still got that mag I believe. Why, I don't know.

A couple things to watch out for if you do it yourself. Get a good inline filter for your gun. Most compressors will have water in the tank and line. Get quality paint. Most rattle can paint will not take gas spills. 2-part catalyst type paints will.

A custom job could range from a couple hunderd on up depending on what you want. You might be surprised for what I can do for not much more than this.

It'll go! I've only been to the track once. 9.20 @146mph was my best. Full Hindle, PC3r, airbox mod, dynod at 164rwhp. I'm probably 30 lbs lighter than a stock busa and stretch 5" over.

I would love to race some Vmaxs but there aren't many around me. And the few that do know a Busa. They won't try. I know when I sold my 86 Vmax and eventually got a Busa the power and acceleration difference was incredible. Here's mine along way from stock.
