    Sporatic vboost

I did mess with it a bit so maybe Ill have to save for a new controller in the spring..

    Sporatic vboost

Okay so I pulled the Vboost controller off and is it normal for the circuit board to have a wax type stuff covering it? anyway everything looked good so I pulled off the two little ground wires that split from the main battery ground wire, cleaned them up and put them back on, before I put them...

    Sporatic vboost

Ok so it probly wasnt the seafoam, maybe I will pull the Vboost controller off and have a look as well as clean the ground wire too. I have custom made grills on the scoops that allow air through so maybe it got dirt or moisture on the electrical components , ill check...

    Sporatic vboost

Hi guys. Ok so after awhile I noticed my bike just seemed flat on the top end. Anyway when I turned on the bike it cycled the vboost but when revved up it did not open. So I pulled the top off the bike and sprayed 3/4 can of Seafoam in the carbs while running. Then what do you know the vboost...

    Questions about mid range power

Maybe a "Sasy" would be an easy fix? you could set the vboost to come open at say 4500 rpm instead.

    Questions about mid range power

I'm sure my bike is running rich, would that make the bike a little sluggish? It just seems a little less "crisp" than is should be especially in the midrange.. Runs good though..

Can I power wash the max?

Just wondering if it is ok to lightly? powerwash the Vmax if I stay away from the carbs, Also will the spray hurt a warm engine? sorry if this a dumb question, im new to road bikes.

How hard can you/push the Vmax

Broken shafts? How did you manage that? I know I'm new here but I'm gonna have to call the Vmax abuse Hotline on you.. Whats the number again? don't worry I'll use the search function:rofl_200:

How hard can you/push the Vmax

I do a bit of interstate riding to go see my brothers so 3rd gear would be in vboost range I think.

New to site, the VMax and a few ???'s

Hmm good post, this a good post for me too as the vmax is my first road bike. I have rode dirtbikes most of my childhood and I remember being a kid and my friend showing me that classic vmax burnout advert telling me how mean this "Vmax" bike was. I knew someday I wanted one. I hate following...

How hard can you/push the Vmax

Hi guys, this is my first road bike and second season of riding and was wondering what is considered to be hard on the Vmax, I mean riding wise not like driving without oil etc :) Can I ride it in the vboost range for extended periods of time, accelerate hard often, sometimes i like to...

    using oil

Okie Dokie then , I'll leave it at that and maybe in the next year or two I'll get the Valves checked/adjusted and see what happens.

    suddenly no juice..

Yeah, the worst is just not knowing.

    suddenly no juice..

YES! found the problem, I went to put the charger on the battery and put the ground on first then the bike powered up, weird I thought I never even put the positive on yet, BINGO bad ground connection on the battery. Anywhoo, cleaned up the connections and all is well.

    suddenly no juice..

I'm gonna try to get at it today to have a look. One thing that bothers me is that it still ran when I push started it, should that be able to happen with a bad ignition?

    new tire = speed wobble

The Tire pressure is good, I noticed a difference in low speed handling right away, the dunlop felt narrower and like I was "balancing"the bike more. The Metzler felt wider and "heavier" and if I rode with one hand or slowed down at lower speeds it would shake madly yet at speed it was straight...

    new tire = speed wobble

Yeah, I know there has been alot of discussion about this kind of stuff and i'm not complaining about the tire either I just thought I'd mention something I experienced first hand. I must say I like the look of the tire though :)
