Well it wasn't the gas or fuel filter causing me issues. Decided to pull air box and buddy checked each slide above the carb. Well turned out 1 of the 4 was not working right after opening cover And cheching diaphragm slide noticed the slide it self was cracked. Not sure how that's possible but...

This is the first year I have ever used stable in tank. So hoping it's not a gummed up carb. Sounds like a lot of work and money to have them cleaned. But going to try getting rid of gas and new filter first. Thanks everyone for the help here will let you all know how things turn out.

gamorg02, Well my friend added the stable to tank. But I know he used the little guied that's on the neck of the bottle. So know he didn't add more then it should have needed. Was also wondering what type of fuel filter should I use for 1989 model. Is there a better or worse kind to use.

Well I'm going to start with draining fuel out of tank and replace old fuel filter. Then start from there HOPE IT WORKS. If I still have issues I will get with you Woodsman thanks for the offer.

Yes rear works fine just like the idea of it working just to pass inspection. also use it while sitting at stop lights...To many tards on the road now days I like to trigger is as much as possible.

Well replaced the switch it was very easy to replace. The only issue it's NOT working think I have a short in the wire somewhere. I was looking in manuel and it shows on 89max wire goes from switch to rear break pedal. Any way of knowing where and how to replace the wire. Just wondering how hard...

Just wondering if anyone had had issues with front brake switch. I think I have a short in wire between switch and rear break. It started last year thought wire was loose or something because rear break light kept shorting out. So the only way I thought was to wiggle end of wire thats connected...
