Contemplating selling my 2002 Max. 19,XXX. Tasteful mods, and all the "VMAX FIXES" have been correctly done. The engine and carbs are stock. Carbs cleaned, COPS, new Odyssey battery, rr, plugs, fluids, progressive front springs and rear shocks, braided lines, recent brakes, Trapps, Etc...

Anyone going to the Laconia Rally this year? Every year I see 1 or 2 Gen 1 bikes cruising around, but never a group of VMAX riders. Hope to see you there.

Does anyone have any experience riding on these tires? I just replaced my worn Dunlop yesterday with an Exedra yesterday and will break it in at Laconia in a couple of weeks. One white letter and one black letter tire doesn't look as bad as I thought it would from where I'll be sitting!

I've been riding on Dunlops since I've owned my Max. I always read here that the ride quality is noticeably different using Metzlers. Is that true and what is the best source for these tires? I want stock sized replacements. Thank you

Was at the shop getting a sticker for my gen 1 and the owner tells me that Yamaha is offering a rebate and a drop in price due to poor sales so a new gen 2 would cost just under $17, 000. Cheaper still with a trade in! So tempting!

I recently saw a 2005 Max for sale. 2 owners, 2084 miles. Bike looks beautiful in the ad pictures. All stock. $7, 000. Is this too good too be true? Could this bike been ridden without the odometer being hooked up?

Kickstand on lowered bike....... I bought my bike lowered in the rear via short shocks. The side stand was shortened to accomidate the the lower height. I'm planning to restore the bike to it's proper height via longer shocks. Will I need to restore the side stand to it's original length or...
