    Lithium battery

Thanks Ive had these for years. The 1" rears and 3/4" front. Snowmobile studs have backer plates. Don't ever have to worry about pulling one out. And it's almost too much traction. It's like riding on pavement. Ran screws for years. Will never go back. Friend of mine was world champion unstudded...

    Lithium battery

Lol. I had 2 660s. Wore them out. Bought the Raptor 700. Had 23 miles on it. He ad put cams in it. Exhaust. Intake. And tuner. Must have scared himself. I still love it. It's like riding an fzr1000 on the dirt. Wheelying up on the outside rear tire coming out of a corner. Holeshot spinning. Is...

    Lithium battery

I have a 2009 700 Raptor. That the stock. Yuasa? Battery died while riding on 3 day ride after feuling up at the gas station. In 2009. Had to be pull started the rest of the ride. Put a shorai in it... Now let me tell you about that battery. I have used it out on the ice middle of winter. One...

Drag racing questions for Gen 1 vmax

Not unless the engine has sensors. And ignition automatical adjusts. Higher octane actually burns slower And cooler.... but it does sure smell good!!! Sorry if you were just being sarcastic.lol Have fun at the drags! Hopefully I can get my turbo 86 fj1200 done. And take it to kaukona drag...

Drag racing questions for Gen 1 vmax

I always giggle to myself. When people say they are going to run race gas in a stock non turbo engine. I once put Premium in my daughters 90cc atv. Because that's what I had I the can. Couldn't even get it started until I drained the tank. And got some regular and put it in it. Lol. Started...

Okay I got my self the Gen 1 Buza forks, but now where I find the triple clamps...???

It's funny the picture of the fj1200. In cycleoneoff's page for fork extensions. Belongs to a fellow fj fanatic. Who bought some of my old extensions I had made for my gixxer forks on my fjs. To replace his cycleoneoff extensions. He didn't like that they just slip over the end of the forks...

Vmax, still faster than a speeding ticket

You are a good writer. I can't tell a story very good. But first time I ran was in my mint 69 buick GS. Day before my 16th birthday. Got away but crashed into a ravine to do it. Got a friend of my brothers. (Police dispatcher at the time.) To pull it up out of the ravine and tow it home. Without...

Okay I got my self the Gen 1 Buza forks, but now where I find the triple clamps...???

I bought the first FZR1000 in the state of Wisconsin in 87. Later had RES in Texas build it to the max even lightened the crank. 187hp. $6400. Had a guy pull out in front of me. They determined that I was doing less than 35mph. I was wearing a helmet and full leathers. Spent 2 1/2 months in the...

Okay I got my self the Gen 1 Buza forks, but now where I find the triple clamps...???

Sorry just use to throwing rake and trail together when talking about bikes suspension. Different offset on triples affects the trail. Changing how quick the turnin. My human race teams fzr750r ( 2time world endurance champion bike) has adjustable offset triples. A couple mm can make a big...

Okay I got my self the Gen 1 Buza forks, but now where I find the triple clamps...???

Do you know if the marauder triples have a close rake and trail as the vmax. And are the forks the same diameter as the busa/gxxr ? Then I could get Marauder triples have the stem of the Vmax altered (if need be) And use a set of my extended gxxr forks.

Okay I got my self the Gen 1 Buza forks, but now where I find the triple clamps...???

To use the gixxr triples on my fj1200s simply added weld to the bottom of the fj stem then machined it down to fit the bottom of the gixxr triple. But the fj sport touring gixxr sport bike. Rake and trail were close. Actually helped the fj better turn in. And still very stable. But I'm sure...

Parts Wanted Hayabuza [first Gen] Triple clamps/Trees for Gen 1, Vmax 1989

Been running them for many years. The fj1350r is 167hp and 114ftlbs. It really enjoys lifting its front wheel coming out of corners. And has occasionally done stoppies. The black fj1200 has done thousands and thousands of miles long distance touing. Never any problems. No need for over...

Parts Wanted Hayabuza [first Gen] Triple clamps/Trees for Gen 1, Vmax 1989

I fabricated handlebars. Using the clamps from the gixxer clip-ons. Made them to the same specs as the fj handlebars.

Parts Wanted Hayabuza [first Gen] Triple clamps/Trees for Gen 1, Vmax 1989

I have 3 sets of gsxr1000 forks on my fj1200s. First I made extensions that clamped over the ends of the forks. Way overkill. Then I cut them down. Still way overkill. Then I just had tubes welded onto the fork caps and machined down to match the forks diameter. More than enough. The lower...

What did you do to your Vmax today? Part 2

I leave them on for a place to put tools/ parts. Mine raises pretty high and has many levels in between. Doesn't hinder me when working on the bike.

    Picked up magna v4

A friend of mine had a V65 Saber. At 25-30mph he could throttle up a wheelie. The whole bike would raise up about a foot. Then he would chop the throttle. And the back tire would come off the ground about 2". He would drive down main Street jumping like a frog. Lmfao.

    Burning oil

So now you are calling me stupid for enjoying speed when I'm out in the country with no one else around. And yet I find it hard to believe that you being a vmax rider have never accelerated above what is necessary and considered safe. In traffic. In a city. I received the majority of my...

    Burning oil

On my 87 FZR1000 I hit a small strip of sod. Probably 2-3" around by a couple a ft long. Laying right across my line at around 150mph. Tank flu up and hit me in the chin (I was wearing a full face helmet). Bike did a severe Tank wobble. And lucky settled back down. When I was young and quik...
