Here was my response...
"I have not had a speeding ticket since 1994 and it was only because the speedo on my dad's Alfa Romeo 164S was out. First of all, I have AF veteran plates on all of my vehicles, even my Vmax. I also carry my DOD military ID along with my driver's licence. I am always polite to any officer who pulls me over(usually, for speeding, though rarely am I going faster than 15 over the speed limit). Almost always, I find out that the officers are prior service military, so I thank them for their service. After they run my licence and tags and find that I have no outstanding warrants, they return my licence, registration, and proof of insurance, and tell me to slow it down and have a nice day, and I, in return wish them the same."
