I will add that the first link is to my post. I think most here know I'm not a liar...

That story is 100% accurate and was posted just after the event happened.

Chris

Well, Chris. It seems you ARE the LIAR. Here are ALL the emails between you and Jon at UFO. This man did EVERYTHING a vendor could do including a new wheel which of course was perfect enough to re-sell with no recourse and also offered you another $100.00 credit. What is your problem ? See the REAL or should I say WHEEL story below. NOT the world according to Chris.

Start reading the emails from the bottom up.

Hi Jon,
Well I'm glad you replied to my message in the way you did. I wanted to
make sure you understood where I stood on this whole ordeal. I
appreciate your offer of a 100 dollar discount but I do not require or
need compensation for this. I only ask that if I have a problem again
that you are willing to help me in the future. I know this has been a
thorn in your side, because to be honest, it has been a huge thorn in
mine. I have only put roughly 100 miles on the Max this year to date...
I hope to really rack them up next week though! I look forward to
receiving the wheel but have to say I am not looking forward to cramming
it into the stock swing arm... I have had the diff off of a Vmax before
and played hell getting it back on. I have been talking to some other
Maxer's and they have given me great tips that I think will facilitate
the installation of it.
Cheers,
Christopher Smith

Thank you, Chris. I just don't know how much experience you have had
with vendors, but I have been in this industry for over 30 years and it
still holds true that I rarely see any compensation for mistakes I did
not create.
This is the very reason I have brought more and more of my manufacturing
in house. You would think a wheel manufacturer would check the trueness
of a blank before they put the labor into the pattern. I would ,,, but
guess they don't . Anyway , hope I have held up my end for you. I will
ALWAYS be here for you. I have a financial loss on this transaction but
keep notes. You have done nothing wrong here.......merely purchased a
wheel. Thanks again for your support. You have a credit of $100.00 with
my company on any future purchase , which I will personally honor, all I
ask in return is a kind word when my company name comes up. Thanks
again, Christopher. Jon.

Made it happen for me Jon? Come on. I have spent 1600 dollars with you
and when someone spends this kind of money they expect it to be perfect.
I know you did your best but you have to understand that you told me it
was shipping on Tuesday and it didn't. I do not want and am not trying
to burn any bridges here but you need to understand that I hold people
to their word unless they email or call me and tell me differently.
Lets just say that I have bitten my tongue several times over this
entire transaction from day 1.
It took 2 months the first time. This kind of stuff is part of doing
business and I run into it all the time in my business and we loose
thousands of dollars a year for mistakes our vendors make. 2 days gives
me time to fit it but not a lot of time for a shake down before taking
it across the country...
I hold no animosity towards you or your company and I hope you feel the
same towards me.
Thanks for your hard work,
Christopher Smith

Chris unless you live in Iraq it will be there on time . Did you read
the
tracking ? It said Monday end of day. Chris I have personally spent over
$375.00 to make this happen for you. My manufacturer says thats the way
it
goes. They replace it and consider everything is even. I have lost money
on
the deal to keep you happy, don't know who else would do that for you.
I'm
going to bit my tongue at this point. You have have two days to install
the
wheel ........you should jusssssssssssst make it.

Let me know what E.T.A. is on the new one.

What is the Thunder date? You need to get the wheel back to us asap because I need to document the problem and let American Wheel who produces the blanks for us that there is a problem so we can get a replacement, then we have to coat it and stripe it for you. I stand behind my products and will correct any manufacturing related issue. Thanks, Jon.

Hi Jon,

I sent you an e-mail from my phone and just wanted to make sure you got it. It is pretty apparent that there is a pretty good truing issue with this wheel.

I’d like to have it all sorted well before Thunder.

Let me know.

Chris, leave me a # to reach you at. We can go over the possibilities. You may have forgot to put the cylindrical spacer into the needle bearing on the left side. Jon.

Thanks! You have my permission to use the pics as long as you don’t super impose naked men onto them… LOL

Also… I have had some people following me lately and they say that they can see a pronounced wiggle in the wheel as if it isn’t trued up… Have you had this issue? They say it’s VERY pronounced… I find it to be true as it seems that the rotor pushes my pistons in on the rear brake causing the pedal to go to the bottom when trying to use the rear brake. Everything is torqued to spec’s.

Let me know.

Cheers,
Ch

Hi Jon,

I told you I would send you some pics of the wheel mounted up to the bike. So far I am VERY happy with the complete package. As you can see the bike is no longer a stock 2006 and is EXACTLY what I hoped it would be… Thanks for your help.

Hahaha... Another troll... Read what you want into it... I know what happened. What you don't have there is our voice conversations and the FACT that the bead wouldn't seat on the wheel because when he took it off, it tweaked the bead JUST enough so it wouldn't set. When I called him on it, (yes I called) he told me it was my issue now and that he was done with me. So what did I get? I got a bent wheel in the size I wanted and then a 6.25" wheel that honestly is too big for a 180 tire. Why? Because he told me that didn't make the 5.5" anymore... WTF? YES THEY DO! TO THIS DAY THEY DO! So call me what you want... I could give two shits! My past 4 years on this forum can point to the fact that I AM an upstanding member of civilization. People I have met here and dealt with here can attest to that.

I know you're in bed with the guy (hell you may be Jon) and that's fine. The offer of 100 bucks credit to me is something I DO NOT remember and honestly is beside the point. All I want is a 100% guarantee with NO questions asked. I got/get that elsewhere.

Thanks for posting those emails though. That's something I didn't keep. I'm not 100% sure those are 100% untampered with though. I also believe an email may be missing too.

Now did he/you record the phone calls by chance? :eusa_dance:

Also, I see no one else on here having issues with me, but MAN do I hear the stories about YOU/JON... Hmm... Weird...

Chris

Well if I posted all of that personal info on here I would be banned for 10 years.

WTF

I don't mind the rebuttal from Jon or Jon's representative, however I had to edit out his insults so that is what gets people in trouble and he has been warned.

It's just Jon stirring the pot...

I've said this a ton. It's not something that happens every day, but when you have an issue with him, he's a PITA to get it resolved.

He's got his buddy's that he pampers but everyone else is left out to dry.

Chris, that's unfortunate about your deal with Jon. But I had a completely different experience with him.

I received a star-fighter seat which didn't fit tight to the tank cover a few weeks back. I was not happy.. And wondering what would transpire after reading your negative review. I sent Jon pics of the fitment issue and he told me to send it back, no problem. Less than one week later I received the seat back and it fits like a glove.:clapping:

I "had a issue with him" and it was not a PITA to resolve. It was easy.. And, I'm not a buddy of his. Never met him. But at this point Id like to..

Lucky you! He must be on his meds. For the record. I'm not alone.

He probably didn't know you were on VMF, since he seems to have a deep hatred for this site and everyone who uses it. To be perfectly honest, that's the first and only positive story I've ever heard relating to UFO. You got lucky.
