Here I have to use premium to avoid ethanol, 87 is tainted with ethonal. Today I ran premium to avoid it and realized damn fine performance and MPG, but I suspect it might have been even better with 87 pure gasoline. I just rarely see that as a choice.

So 87 tainted with E, or pure 91?

Me personally, I would stay away from ethanol at all cost.

I have been, I effen hate the stuff. I'm probably stuck with premium most of the time.

One of the fuels stops on one of my regular runs has ethanol free midgrade 89 at least that what the pumps is labeled. My closest station is all ethanol and closest non ethanol is 20 miles away. I use Seafoam in probably 4-5 tanks out of 10 and have had no bad issues thus far, knock on wood!
My two year old plugs came out just a little dark but I had a little better than a hour of low speed riding and a lot of idling during the putting up for winter and getting it out this spring.
