Do you remember when we talked about all the different colors by year in here.I searched all through this site.I think Sean had answered with wich color was each year.I am probably going to order a complete set(both fenders and tank cover).I want either red(88-89)or black with silver metal flake? My friend Paul has the black with blue metal flake 90?Ibrahim,I think we talked about this too.

Maybe this was all deleted during one of the site crashes. Thanks, Shawn

The black with blue metal flake is a '90, '86 is very similar.

out of all the years and colors i like the black/silver they did on my 97 the best. Does anyone know if 97 was the only year with this scheme?

Clintard,Your bike is silver not black with silver metal flake.1990 is the black with blue metal flake,I like it but do not want the same color as Paul since we ride together alot.

I think 1998 is the year with the black that I want.

OK, here is goes (from memory)

85 - the only year I can recall that offered two colors, a maroonish red (most popular color) and a purplish blue
86 - maroon (slightly different shade then 85 as I recall)
87 - canada only model (and overseas) - red/black
88-89 - red/black
90 - shiny black (black with blue metal flake)
91 - black (black with silver metal flake)
92 - Maroon (has a lot of metalic - my favorite year for the colors)
93 - Purplish Blue
94 - Yellow (whitish metal flake)
95 - Orangish Red
96 - Black (no flake)
97 - Silver
98 - Black with silver flake
99-2002 - Carbon Fiber
2003-2004 - Flat Black with silver stripes
2005 - Red with orangish flames
2006-2007 - Black with red flames

http://www.colorrite.com has codes for some of the newer years - I did not check to see how far back they went.

My 88 is silver and black. It is a Canadian model, if that makes any difference.

88 jap spec here. All black, only red is on the seat wich is custom.

mine was made in Nov 93 and it is yellow with metalic white flake.. 94 according to your table...

Was the color that colorite posted, but color chip doesn't look like my color of my 93. The wife says I'm color blind...but not that blind.
