If You want to replace the 1/2 friction (#7) with a full friction (#9), remove part # 5,6,7 and the wire (#4) and replace those parts with 1 Full size friction plate (#9).

Perfect. All clear now. Thank you!

Accomplished the clutch disk replacement today. I replaced the 1/2 disk and other parts with a regular OEM disk.

Here's a trick if you don't want to drain the oil.
1. Find an old large diameter log
2. Find an old rug or some sort of cushion.
3. Lay the bike on it's left side (contact should be on the engine/head).

All the oil will run to the left side allowing you to remove the cover and access the clutch disks without losing any oil. Just be VERY careful when removing the old gasket that pieces do not fall into the oil pan while on it's side (yeah, that's experience talking).

I did mine with it on the kickstand as stated above and I didn't lose any oil.
