Hi everyone,
I thought that I'd pass this on to anyone considering ordering from Cycle One Off. Firstly, I only order from the states when I've decided on multiple items in order to try and justify the ridiculous shipping charges. Then after weeks of waiting and a couple of emails I received one item that is probably over priced anyway and not the other. This has increased the cost of this item even more since I paid $35.00 shipping for a freaking gasket and O-ring worth about $10.00 but cost $70.00.
In other words, with a refund ,I've paid $105.00 for a gasket and O-ring with a note saying the other part is no longer available which is the only part that I really wanted in the first place. No email or anything, just took the money and see ya later sucker. I emailed Tom about a refund only for the amount of the missing part, not even any shipping compensation and he said he would. Anyway 3 emails later and 3 weeks later and nothing at all. Luckily this is my first bad experience with online ordering and hopefully my last. Sorry for the rant, but I don't like being cheated.

Matt

P.S. Tom, if you need the money that much, keep it.

Sorry that you are going thru this and having a problem getting satisfaction, I do know some time ago in another post he was talking about closing up his business . I personally have never dealt with him but I do hope it's just a matter of missed communication and you get refunded for your trouble. As for the rant , what the Hell we all need to do this some times . Later KC

Thanks Bruiser, I do appreciate that, but that would be 6 miscommunications. I've waited as long as I thought was reasonable in order to give him a chance before I posted this, times up.

Used to be a good place to buy parts. Shame he can't go out of business gracefully.

+1. I, and many others, had good experiences buying from C.O.O. in the past. I'd be hesitant to order now. It's a shame because Tom's products were good. This kind of thing needs to be passed on, tks.

Yes, I am not sure what's going on at his camp but it's pretty hit/miss lately. There are few of us vendors out there that are vmax specialists and sad to see one with problems.

It is a bit sad and I get NO pleasure in posting this. I really just thought that others should be aware when making purchases. I look forward to speaking with you in the near future Sean, about a seat.

Matt

Can you email me at [email protected] with the order info. I have 4 of these kits in stock so Im not sure why you don't have it.

I found the info. I totally blanked out on the refund. I have been so busy with the new shop this fell though the cracks. I refunded you and then some as shipping would of been less for the o-ring kit.

I believe that is a honest answer.

Thank you Tom. You have restored my faith. I'm glad that out of all of my internet ordering from all parts of the world that my first loss of money wasn't from the Good Ol' U.S. of A. It really does make me feel good to know that this was just a mistake and I hope all on the forum will see that you have come to the party on this. Good luck with your new shop. It's a shame that I had to post on this forum about it, but I understand how busy life can get, and I'm sure that the other members will now feel better knowing that you are a stand up kind of guy. Many of us have dealt with you in the past and will look forward to it again in the future if this new shop you are talking about is Motorcycle related. In other words, you WILL be seeing that money again, Damn!

Matt

Why is it that public bitching on this forum gets results but private communication does not?

Maybe should be paying more attention to business related communication and wouldn't have to check the forums to see what bad things people are saying

Tom, where is your new shop going to be? I live, work and play right here in Rochester but have never stopped in. Have heard of some bad ass bikes coming out of your shop but like I said, I've never shopped with ya.

Hey now, I got arrested for an outstanding warrant during a traumatic house move which I completely forgot to pay. A stupid $42.50 ticket and I went to jail for 24 hours (Failure to register in state). It wasn't intentional on my part but I had other things on my mind at that point. Give the guy a chance to make good before condemning him. Shit happens, you never forgot to pay your electric bill before ?

Just saying.

Chris.

I wouldn't have said what I did were it not for this being the umpteenhundreth time we've all heard this same exact story of zero response through formal communication channels,

then the same exact happy ending accompanied by "pick one" of a handful of various reasons why communications wasn't working.

And only resolved because the guy ignoring all your formal attempts just "happens" to see the bitching on this board.

A man talented enough to build those wonderful products (and they are, I have some and the work is excellent) cannot convince me he can't master the art of answering email or phone.

Last month I ordered an bar mount oil pressure guage kit. He told me what he had in stock and that it would arrive in about two week. Got it and very satisfied customer! I would order from him again!

You will absolutely love Sean's seat. It was my first upgrade on my bike, and I really like it.
Back in June, I put 725 miles on in 15 1/2 hrs. So my butt knows this seat well!
