I've never fouled an Iridium plug.
but I have gone through alot of stock plugs.
Haven't had any problems since switching.

I have about 30 used stock plugs. So cost is not a factor.
stock plugs cost me more money in the long run.


But I understand.
Why buy quality when you can by bulk. :ummm:

Ask Sean Morley, Kyle Clegg, John Furbur or any of the experienced Vmax mechanics what they recommend.
They all told me don't waste money on Iridiums.
I don't byu them in bulk at all because I could easily use them for 5 years or more of I wanted to.
And My stock plugs always look Great.
This is one of the set I changed after about 4 years in my Vmax (they obviously didn't even need to be changed):

They are in my toolbox in case I ever need one.

And I have never fouled a stock plug in the 14 years I've owned my Vmax.
So if you did I'd say the problem was with your Vmax and not the plug.

I use non-irridium and replace them every spring. They are cheap.

No, but I'd definitely have them pick me up a few Burritos and maybe even a Hot Senorita !
And using the stock NGK's for 14 years in my Vmax has confirmed what they said.

Do not agree at all. I've used both and i cannot justify the difference in price on the iridiums. In my opinion they are even easier to foul compared to stock ones.
 
I have eight Irridiums fouled black from a super rich running Max. Can't force myself to throes the expensive bastards away. Someday I'll come across a plug cleaning machine . Been running stock plugs since 86 if that says anything. To me, it's all about ones tune.
 
Just returned from a visit to the U.S., and brought back new wires, caps, and plugs.

Plugs: NGK Iridium
Wires: 7mm generic, attached MSD caps.

Runs very good, but have not taken it for a ride yet. Seems responsive.
Man, attaching the #4 wire (front right) was very difficult. Had to thread the cap onto the coil from the left side - one handed. But it works.

Here's a tip: I marked the old wire with a silver sharpie marker before pulling it out of the coil. Make the same mark on the new wire to ensure you install it all the way in.
