Yes if the bike has what you need & it's 1/2 of market value (or less) of an undamaged one.
Slight damage from pics cosmetic from what I can tell . What about getting it registered ?
You may have trouble finding insurance because the insurer may demand receipts to show the work done to make it safe and legallly operable. Also, in the event of another accident, I can forsee problems in getting the insurer to pay for new parts. Also, the resale value is much lower, so all these things need to be taken into consideration.
A rebuilt seller may claim, "only cosmetic damage," but I would call your insurer and have them inform you about your status w/them, and also to do the same thing w/the Dept of Motor Vehicles in your state. The fact it has a rebuilt title from one state may not carry the same requirements from another state if you tried to register it elsewhere. They may want receipts for all parts replaced and for the work done to return to the road, and it may need to pass an inspection by an accident evaluation specialist, and then receive a unique assigned VIN from the state.

That's how it's done in NY...I believe PCW is certified to do the inspections
OK good insight and thanks may not be worth all the trouble but can't hurt to look into it ..
My 89 Virago had a salvage title. I basiclly gave bike away after like 5 years it wasn't worth anything.. Could be a good cheap parts bike...
Not at what their asking for it..little priceyfor parts but I have plenty to fix it up and ride but if its a hassle for ins and tags then there are plenty more bikes out there..
Ok, well Jamie I would pass on it. I think unless it's very clean and easy to get the title changed so it doesn't read Salvage don't do it...
Generally, a salvaged title in one state will also roll-over to a salvaged title in another. I have heard of some state where this may not be the case but I dunno which it is, or if it's true. States are very vigilant on titling compared to what used to be. "Washing" a title is what you're suggesting, whether for a salvage designation or for some other title content being changed.

You need to talk to your insurance company also. Some places will not deal/insure salvaged title vehicles(bikes)
