G`day All from Australia, attached a pic of my bike for anyone interested....

Firstly, all the evidence points to losing 10Hp with the VMax & Cobras combo... I get that, so, moving on..... I like the look and the sound and would like to persevere with them regardless.....

Anybody like to share your past experiences (preferably with Dyno proof) trying to improve the Cobras??

Certainly there seems to be plenty of Dyno proof that they loose power, BUT, does anyone out there have any positive (sensible) Dyno proof of changes made to improve the Cobras (even by a small amount....) for instance carb tuning etc...

Many Thanks in advance of any and all contributions.....

Best Wishes from Australia....

Most people that install Cobra slip-ons don't do much dyno tuning. I'd put 147.5 mains in and call it a day. There used to be a full exhaust system with a similiar look. UFO if I recall, now under a new ownership and named something else. Someone might chime in with more info on them. Me, Morley's Muscle is my first stop for parts or great advice.

G`day SDT, Many Thanks for your reply, very much appreciated.... :You_Rock:

Totally agree with your thoughts and advice, winter here so looking to change the main jets and a few other minor mods during the rainy season in line with your suggestion....

Seems that the Cobra slip ons are a lost cause!!.... :bang head:

Hoping that there might be some-one out there that has experienced some success (no matter how small) in gaining some Hp improvement with them?

Or at least, achieving some success (no matter how small) in minimising any Hp losses with them?? :ummm:

Enjoy the Ride..... Ride Safe..... :thumbs up:
