Since a couple of weeks I noticed my max is consuming some oil. It didn't used any before.... but age... wear.... you get my point. No biggy.

It seams to sweat minimal around the valve covers... winter project.

But I also noticed some oil in the Airfilter box?

What could be wrong

A small amount isn't unusual. Clean it out and then keep an eye on it over the next few hundred miles so you can get some idea how much is being produced.

One cause could be down to over filling the sump. Some suggest only filling halfway up the sight glass window.

More serious would be blow-by the piston rings.

Best check is a cylinder leakage test.

Oke,

Were my thoughts also. I always filled it up to max level point.
Advised by local vmax specialists. Because of the oil movement at heavy launch. And oil getting away from the oil pump.

It never used any oil though.

I will check the airbox every once in a while. When things are getting worse, well... thats then

Under a heavy launch, the oil goes TOWARD the oil pick up in the pan. Its at the back of the pan. Its the oil level sender thats in the FRONT of the pan. Thats why if the oil light comes on under acceleration, its no big deal.

So fill the sump half way the "check" level is ok?
I will do so, and check if it still spits oil to tge airbox.

Maybe it was just the case of overfilling

Ive been told, and I always have, just filled the oil level between the fill lines, and havent had any issues.

I keep mine at about 3/4 of the way up the sight glass and have never had an issue.
