Of course, this post is worthlees w/o pics, and I'll get to it soon when I get back from West Texas, Colorado and Lousianna....

But...

I got back in Town from La. just in timne to recieve a really heavy box with a whole lot of really pretty stuff Sean sent me......on cloud nine right now.......

Pistons, rings, rods, cam chains, springs, HD oiler kit, bearings lightened flywheel and all the gaskets and rubber stuff......:eusa_dance:

The box was very well packed and organized, THANKS SEAN!!:punk:

The Morley muscle custom made rods are a tough as hell looking....

The Arias 13:1's are a work of art, BEAUTIFUL!!..............................................................And surprisingly, since it's got more stoke, the 13:1 is achieved with basically flat top pistons with valve reliefs.........And use some really cool "Button" wrist pin retainers instead of c-clips or spiralock clips.........

I'll put together a pic thread of the tear down and eventually the build when I get time, taking plenty just haven't had time to put them up......

I simultaneously envy and don't envy. Do, because of all the sweet goodies going into the rebuild; don't, because you are facing a rebuild.

Yeah, I was crushed when 2nd gear blew up in this thing, thought it was the end of the world, and then decided if it was coming out anyway it was time to "go big or go home", have already torn it down and am excited as hell about the project now....With Seans help and advice and Damon Ferrielos SP? video I'm not "very" intimidated in putting it back together......

My wife has been a little less than enthusiastic about the cost to say the least, but I pay the bills and pretty much do whatever I want anyway...No job = No vote in my house :rofl_200:

Since my wife started school full time and work part time we both have a little less $ for toys, but we both seem to find room in the budget for things we want.
I guess the fact that she went out and bought her first new riding several years shows that she is definitely supportive of my V-max habit.
Then again the mod monkey is still at bay in my garage. The only "major" purchase I have made on it has been new tires.
We'll see how she reacts when the long North Dakota winter forces me to fight cabin fever with Mod Therapy.

Awesome Rusty! That beats what I got from Morley. I got a replacement coolant resevoir and gasket. lol

Pics as promised

Those muscle rods look a lot like Carrillo's.
Looks like a lot of fun you got there. Will be very interested to see a dyno once its broke in.

The parts look good (and better in person). The rods are indeed very similar to the Carrillo. Our first sets were actually TOO beefy. I asked them to narrow the beams up to get less weight on the rods and ease up stress on the crank. They use ARP 2000 bolts which are far improved to the stock spaghetti bolts. They are rated for more power per rod then the crank will take!

The carrillo's we sell are very good rods too and we do still sell them. But, the new pricing on our rods vs theirs makes it a big gap difference for essentially little or no gain.

I picked up a set of Carrillo's from CL for pretty cheap. Someone posted the ad on the forum here. I couldn't pass it up! Figured I'd be needing them sooner or later with the turbo deal.

Sorry about the hijack Rusty. :biglaugh:

hey Rusty, you gonna have it ready for bandera in the fall?
If not you can ride my Busa again.
later dude
