    I got tired of wondering if I was getting a correct charge to the battery. Also had an idle isse that ended up being poor charging issue. So......I ordered a digital voltmeter from eBay, made a housing for it from some old aluminum tubing I had laying around. I cut it to be about an inch long...

    Cheap EBay Voltmeter.

    I bought one of those small voltmeters off Ebay, with the intention of mounting it to the handlebar clamp and monitoring voltage. The meter reads 12.8 volts directly connected to battery, rising to 14.4 just off idle. I tied it into the front running light line in the headlight, and grounded...

    Stinger digital voltmeter wiring

    I mounted a Stinger voltmeter on the handlebar clamp, ran the wires into the headlight shell and took power from signal light wires. Problem is, there are (3) wires on the voltmeter...red (constant power), blue (switched power) and black (ground) and there isn't a constant power sourch (red)...

    OK. I've been drooling over Lankey's gauge pod since last summer, but without the cash...........no tickee, no shirtee!:tantrum: So I decided to just do it myself...... I wanted to keep the factory indicator lamps (why I do not know! - would have been easier to scrap them all and use LED'S)...
