Mary and I haven't had a day like this one, riding together without half a dozen other bikes since 1991.
Long, Long story that I'll spare you all. I asked which of the 3 bikes we should take. Took about 2 seconds
and she said Strafer. It's her favorite...
We took the Interstate through Tampa and North to SR-54. That's about 40 miles and we finally started to
get out of what I call wall to wall towns... Stopped and took a couple pictures just to prove we really did ride.
From there, we made a big counter clockwise loop, staying on roads less traveled. Took a few more pictures
along the way too.
As it turned out, the Fuel Light came on at 119 miles, in the middle of the last bridge before home. The fuel
started to run out at 122 miles so I switched it over to reserve. We finished the trip at 130 miles. I had
originally figured we'd be running on fumes by then but still had maybe 30 more miles. I'm guessing but
believe we got about 40.5 MPG. Not shabby at all. There were several time we were cruising near and a
few times well over 100 MPH. I can live with that..
We had a much needed return to a peaceful ride with no one else telling us What, When and How...
Oh, where too....
So here's the pictures, I didn't spend the whole day making posts here for once...:rofl_200:
