I'm trying to sync my carbs with a new Motion Pro tool. The picture shows where the fluid stays no matter what I do. If I turn the A/F stews on #4 or #2 all the way in the bike acts like it will stall. #1 or #3 turning the A/F screw all the way in does nothing. Bike sounds normal at idle and...
Sounds like one of the small diaphragms in the pump has come loose. Mine kept doing this until I changed the diaphragm. Have you double checked both diaphragms?

Thanks Danny for the quick turn around on my carb! I got them back in and it's running much better. Now my issue is excessive popping and backfiring but I'll research that tomorrow.

I've been reading and trying to get the A/F mixture screw out of the right rear carb. Can't get it out. My question is this: can I buy a 34mm carb from a 1300 Venture, dusassemble both carbs, swap the jets and replace just one carb?
I had a similar situation and I put a skinny chisel in my impact driver. As I hammered it cut a grove in the bolt head and finally loosened the bolt. It took a long time but I got 3 Philips bolts out that way.

I had the same issues with mine popping out every hundred miles or so. I replaced the diaphragm with one out of an old venture fuel pump. The venture diaphragm was thicker than the vmax original but it has worked very well.
