    Fuel pump leak

Do you have a pic of what it looks like? I ordered a stock used one but I'll keep it as a spare and put one of these on if I can find one, I don't want to deal with the plastic crap deteriorating again. Is it this one...

    Fuel pump leak

That's exactly what I did on this most recent pump, used an r1 pump and swapped the ends on. It's the plastic portion of the housing has deteriorated and is leaking, the same exact thing that happened to the last pump. I have seen a couple for sale with the same issue "for parts", and one...

    Fuel pump leak

Hi all, about a month ago I went to fire up my vmax (had been sitting since last summer when I ruptured my achilles) and it started leaking fuel from the fuel pump - it looks like the plastic housing has deteriorated. This is actually the 2nd time it's happened, the first time as a result of...

    Alrighty.. Constructive critisism welcome.

Were you doing a dry or wet burnout? With street tires, a quick dry burnout to clean any debris off the tire is usually best as opposed to the big smokey wet burnout needed to heat up racing slicks. Road tires get greasy when hot from a big burnout and will hook less than if you just do a quick...

Just started up my neglected '97

Get an aerosol can of carb cleaner and just spray it into the vent tube until it's full and let it soak. I was able to fee up one stuck float that way (but not the other 3). If just one is sticking, hopefully the carbs aren't too gummed up. I'd actually drain the other 3 and run carb cleaner...

    carburator coughing

I had this happen to me when two of the rubber boots that go from the airbox to the carbs got hard and wouldn't seal properly. I replaced them and it seems to have fixed the problem as I now get a good seal.

    Thinking of selling my Max....

You can still ride but pick and choose when you ride to be the least dangerous, ie don't ride at dusk or night, don't ride during rush hour or in other crowded areas, don't ride during deer season, stuff like that. Or, don't ride at all and sell the bike, whatever you feel comfortable with...

    Pontiac is Back!!!!

Here's mine at VIR in April. '78 ws6 400/4speed with a raIII top end, '79 4wheel discs. I tried to take the best of all years and make a real road racer.

    Pontiac is Back!!!!

I haven't seen any news items or articles about it, where are you getting your info?

    Pontiac is Back!!!!

I mean the super dutys were the only valuable ones from '73. All '70-'72 are valuable, the '70 raIV 4 speeds were/are worth the most followed by the '73 super duty and then the '72 455HO. A lot did survive, I think because back in the day they were high dollar cars and people knew they were...

    Pontiac is Back!!!!

'70-'72 were white or blue only with the stripe, '73 was the first year for the big bird on the hood. It was optional and a small bird similar to the '70-'72 was available for a few years (extremely rare). You could order any '73-up trans am without the bird, but it was very rare to see one...

    HP through the years

The '85 would technically be a tad quicker due to the lighter front wheel, which is doubly effective since it's rotating weight. I've never seen any proof of a power difference between any year based on all the posted dyno info, though.

    Pontiac is Back!!!!

Exactly and look at how quickly gm killed them. Performanceyears makes a nearly perfect honeycomb in 17", those look wrong. I'd love to see it happen from gm as I have a '67 bird and a '78 t/a, but I'm sceptical until I see something official. I'm pretty sure the car pictured is an...
