Get an aerosol can of carb cleaner and just spray it into the vent tube until it's full and let it soak. I was able to fee up one stuck float that way (but not the other 3). If just one is sticking, hopefully the carbs aren't too gummed up. I'd actually drain the other 3 and run carb cleaner...

I had this happen to me when two of the rubber boots that go from the airbox to the carbs got hard and wouldn't seal properly. I replaced them and it seems to have fixed the problem as I now get a good seal.

You can still ride but pick and choose when you ride to be the least dangerous, ie don't ride at dusk or night, don't ride during rush hour or in other crowded areas, don't ride during deer season, stuff like that. Or, don't ride at all and sell the bike, whatever you feel comfortable with...

'70-'72 were white or blue only with the stripe, '73 was the first year for the big bird on the hood. It was optional and a small bird similar to the '70-'72 was available for a few years (extremely rare). You could order any '73-up trans am without the bird, but it was very rare to see one...

The '85 would technically be a tad quicker due to the lighter front wheel, which is doubly effective since it's rotating weight. I've never seen any proof of a power difference between any year based on all the posted dyno info, though.

Exactly and look at how quickly gm killed them. Performanceyears makes a nearly perfect honeycomb in 17", those look wrong. I'd love to see it happen from gm as I have a '67 bird and a '78 t/a, but I'm sceptical until I see something official. I'm pretty sure the car pictured is an...
