The bike ran great. The carbs, inside, and out, are super clean. I'm not worried that one is fubar'd, or I'd have taken a look. The two sets on ebay, dirty and unloved, are at $600plus, and they weren't inspected at all.
For sale is an ultra clean set of carbs, came off a strong running bone stock 2003. These are probably the cleanest carbs I’ve ever opened up. I removed 3 float bowls a while back as I wanted to run them through my ultrasonic cleaner. I didn’t remove the last one, because they don’t need the...
For sale is a factory VMAX back rest and rack. Painted black to match my murdered out Max, when purchased. I went with the small grab bar after 2 seasons because I seldom have a passenger. Paint was flaking on lower section, so it got a rattle can repaint. Aluminum seems to be in excellent...
Thanks for asking Sean, but I think I'll hold onto it. I learned a long time ago that once you sell something, you eventually spend the money..... then the something is gone, and so is the money. All you're left with is regret, and a little more room in the shop. I built a big shop......
Thanks...
Sorry, don't check in here often. You're right, 1985 model.Full serial number is JYA1GR000FA000101. Could this be the first ever publicy sold V Max? Canada got a few bikes before the US. Was this one of them? Unlikely, but the serial # is very, very low.......
Mine is vin #0101, reputedly first one in Canada. Odometer showing 8000km, but I suspect it's been changed. 1260 PCW motor, 2002 running gear, R1 brakes, Hindle pipe, Corbin seat, many other subtle mods. Runs great, tranny's tight.
I'm in North Bay. We're practically neighbors, lol. I recognize Daniel's shop from Garage Journal, he's a good guy. I'm sure he'll do right by all of us here as well.
