Doing my first Valve Adjustment on my 1990 VMax and I found 7 tight valves, 3 intakes measuring .003, + 4 exhaust measuring .009. I have the service manual and I'm thinking the cross reference chart is not correct? One Exhaust measured .009- .223mm with a 268 shim installed and the chart calls...

Got the new Regulator/ Rectifier (Heavy Duty Unit) from ElectroSport, installed it and I no longer have an issue with the Bike stalling when the side stand is down, in Neutral with the Clutch engaged! This might be an interesting troubleshooting tool regarding charging system problems?

I'll be checking that as soon as I get a new Regulator/ Rectifier installed. It is presently dissassembled. Bike was not charging and after some trouble shooting found this too be bad. I have one ordered.

Where is the Neutral switch located so I can unplug it?

Yes, the starter still turns over if you pull the clutch in.

I have a 1990 VMax and when I start it up with the Side Stand down, Clutch pulled in, in Neutral. It will stall if I let the Clutch out even though I'm still in Neutral? But if I pull the Side Stand up and put it in gear everything is fine! Shouldn't this bike idle in Neutral with the side...

Anyone know what the vacuum line on the #1 Carb is for? #2,3, and #4 carbs have the plugs on them and theses are the spots that you hook up your vacuum gauges. I want to know if the #1 vacuum line is needed because I want to inject a hydrogen, oxygen mixture into these ports. Thanks!

I have a 1990 VMax and the clutch is slipping! I'm looking for information on what parts are needed to do a GOOD CLUTCH OVERHAUL. If any body knows the parts needed and possibly the Yamaha Part #'s that would be greatly appreciated!:clapping:

I'm running an auxilary system on my 1990 VMax with Sidecar and I need to know How the DC rectifier/ regulator works. What I need to know is at what specific voltage does it call for charging mode? Also, How durable are the AC Stators/ DC rectifier regulators on these bikes? Do they burn up...
