    Good deal on 09

yeah, the guy on the star vmax forum was also very clear...the reason he got it for 11,500 was the dealer is his buddy who bought it right and passed the savings onto him. I don't think this sets the bar for all 09's to be that price. Dealer takes it on trade for 11,500 and would then sell for...

    Local Vmax for sale

I agree that price is ridiculous but up here in Canada I won't say they are rare but they are hard to find so people almost can charge whatever they want for a decent one. I live in a city of approx 200,000 people and I know of 3 vmaxes and have only seen one 2009. Not one of the local Yamaha...

Pulled the trigger.. '07 Vmax coming my way!

Where in Sask are you? I bought mine from Reed Leisure in Regina for under $100. It is like a Spitfire but is made by Road Chrome. Very stable at high speeds and great wind coverage. Best thing is it comes off in about 20 seconds if you are just booting around town.

    Vmax vs Cobra

I'd sure like to read the actual article from '85. Anybody got a link they can post? I searched the net but couldn't come up with anything.

    tank bag

I'm looking for a tank bag and have been looking at the Joe Rocket Manta XL. $53.99 at ridersdiscount.com and free shipping to Canada(which is usually at least $20). I'm looking for something cheap but not a piece of crap either. Anybody got any comments on this bag or a comparable one, any...

    " dilemma "

refinancing the house isn't a bad idea with low mortgage rates but it depends on what you are paying off. If right now you have 3 yrs left to pay on max and you rewrite that loan into your mortgage over say 10 yrs or longer then all you have done is taken longer to really pay it off and in the...

    " dilemma "

BIG BROTHER SEES EVERYTHING!!! I work in a bank so I just looked you up. Just kidding, I just figured if you paid 10-12k for your bike new in 06, you said you had 3 yrs left, I figured you would be around 8k owing still. I hope you didn't take any offense to my comments as I certainly wasn't...

    " dilemma "

I will be the least popular guy here for saying this but if you are switching your loan to a credit card just to avoid a posssible repossession that is a very poor reason. If you are doing it to save on interest then no problem....go ahead and do it but remember to make regular payments, don't...

    Anyone ever buy from Canada?

Hmmm...seems to me that anything leaving Canada and entering the U.S. would be held up by U.S. Customs and not Canada Customs. I'm with Jim...lot's of us Canucks here and hope I can never help you with anything.

    " insurance "

$75 a month during the riding season which covers registration and full insurance with a $700 deductible. Since our riding season here is so short (approx 6 months) I cancel mine for winter and put an insurance package policy on it which is $99 for the year and reduces the deductible to $350...

    Looking to rent a Vmax

Wow, I can't beleive I am the first to reply to this. Kevin, my friend, I think you have a better chance of renting somebody's old lady better than you do of renting their Max. Who in their right mind is doing this?????

    Insurance! What are you paying?

We complain a lot but whaddya gonna do. The insurance is still cheaper than the gas at $1.32 per LITRE. Oh yeah, that's in Canadian dollars!! 4 litres to the gallon give or take??

    Insurance! What are you paying?

I might need to move to the US...I can't shop around as our provincial government has you by the short ones. It's only $50 to register but the mandatory insurance that you have to get from them and can't get anywhere else is $1288. I can pay monthly so I just pay for 1/2 the year and in winter I...

    weird stalling issue

I got lucky. The tech at the local Yamaha dealer is an older guy and been around forever and is also a Max owner. Cost me 1.5 hours labour and seems good now. Seems to me the bike was basically running on 3 cyl since I bought it 2 months ago. I thought the power was OK and was thinking there was...
