    Rear Diff question

I got my hands on a rear diff that had an issue, to use "to practice" before working on my bike. I have a small oil leak, in the main spline area and am quite certain it is the o ring, an possible seal. So on the practice diff, I was able to remove the cover that has the seal and oring, and...

    Flywheel Bolt

Just wanted to say thanks for the info and people on this site, Starter clutch replaced, sounds much better, it was not a castrophic failure, I believe the springs were getting weak, cause the marble sound only when the bike was hot, but didn't happen all the time. Thanks again everyone.

    Flywheel Bolt

Thanks everyone, was able to remove flywheel, starter clutch parts are on backorder, fyi. The manual states 94ft pounds of torque for flywheel bolt, is that too much. The only reason I ask is the spec for the rear axel nut is like 80lbs, I usually put that at 45lbs....

    pilot screw question

Ok, well I am installing COPS and have to put fresh fuel replace the orings. then do the pilot adj, and carb sync. The rear left cylinder is just slightly leaner than the rest of the plugs. I did notice that the lower rubber carb boot, looked like it got warmer than the rest of the boots. Thanks

    pilot screw question

After cleaning my carbs I noticed that one of the pilot screw is missing the Oring and washer. Made sure it is not in carb. It's most likely that this occurred when I cleaned the carbs last year. With the oring and washer missing, would that show a slight leaner plug reading? I have the...

    Need Battery

My pc680 lasted 11 years. I just replaced it. My R/R decided to fail, might have gotten another year out of the battery, anyway the R/R failure caused the new pc 680 to discharge to 10 volts. Charged up the battery, back to 12.85 volts, works great ever since. My vote is still the pc 680.

    Thanks for the help/information

Just wanted to say "Thanks", I got a new style, used rectifier from vmax2extreme, thank you. Solid 14.1 vdc at idle, and only goes down, 13.5-13.8, with the fan running and the high beam at idle. Up to 14vdc with more rpm's. Great site/stickies/ info/people!! :punk:
