    Psych's on Bikes

It's been a while since I've posted here. I've been busy. For most of the last few years I have been working as a Registered Mental Health Nurse looking after serving and veteran military (all services) and civilian services (Police, Fire, Ambulance) living with trauma and distress that resulted...

    Morleys Muscle

Just wanted to share this with this thread. I sent this letter to Sean this week. Hi Sean. Sorry I have been off the radar. My Dad died just before my Vmax died and my youngest grandson died just before I got the bike back from the shop four weeks ago. It’s been a shit time in my life. I...

Who runs 20psi???!!!!! ... and expects a bike to handle predictably!!! Please read http://www.vmaxforum.net/showthread.php?t=3827&highlight=gleno http://www.vmaxforum.net/showthread.php?t=2605&highlight=gleno

    High speed wobble

Why are you trying to define a front end handling problem when your tyre pressures are not stable :ummm: Fix the leak. Run correct pressure. Then look for the problem (which will probably have gone). Correct tyre pressure is fundamental to correct handling :punk:

    Engine Noise

I have looked through the forum and found it difficult to search and consolidate the postings on 'Engine Noise'. Maybe this should have its own thread? Anyway, my 1988 V-max has 129,000kms on it and has been running like a clock until this weekend. Went away this weekend and when the bike was...

    radial pressure

I currently run; Shinko rear 190/50 ZR17 at 42 psi. Anything less gives me very unsettling high speed deceleration oscillations (front end wobble). Michellin front 120/70 ZR17 at 42 psi. Anything less causes very uneven wear. Not a stock bike but it is worth experimenting with your tyre...

Paint for the Gen 1 V-max

Well according to this chart I should be riding an apple red vmax......but my bike is bluish. This explains why it's so quick. It's a red one one in disguise

Paint for the Gen 1 V-max

There may be info on this somewhere but I can't find it. Does anyone know where to get oem paint for the vmax body kits? Are there paint codes somewhere that will allow colour matching? I ride an 88 canadian import that is blue but appears to have a purple hue in some light. How do I match...

    M109R2 Headlight Assembly Project

This is a great mod. Why? 1) The Vmax headlight does not give me the image of the road that I want because the headlight does not give me the reflected light that I need. 2) Headlight mods I've looked at alter the fundamental styling of the Gen-1 Vmax. 3) This recessed assembly looks good...
