    Bike dead, battery charged.

I topped up the fluid in my battery, I now have power through the bike, but even when I boost it the starter solenoid buzzes and it won't turn over

    Bike dead, battery charged.

Hello all, My 07 Vmax has been sitting for roughly two weeks. I went to pull it out today, and tried to fire it up and it fired for about 10 second and then died. After it died, there was no longer any electrical power going to anything. I pulled it out and jumped it, and it will stay running...

    Damn valve cover gasket..

So I picked the bike back up yesterday evening. The mechanic said there was about a 1/4" section where the gasket had pushed out. It only took about 20 mins of riding before it started leaking. He removed the cover and cleaned everything up had a second person help him make sure everything was...

    Damn valve cover gasket..

The bike is back at the shop today, seems I paid them to "fix" it I figured I would try and get my moneys worth. If I am not successful with that then I will go to Yamaha and order another gasket and some more of those grommets. Thanks for the input guys. It seems the only tool I can get in...

    Damn valve cover gasket..

I will have to take a look this evening and make sure that breather hose isn't kinked, but it's only the front cover that is leaking the rear one is fine. I'm starting to wonder if there is something wrong with the cover. I did not see any physical damage when I had it apart, and I would think...

    Damn valve cover gasket..

Hello all, l am looking for some input on the valve cover gasket. My front cover started to seep a bit in the fall just before the end of riding season. I stored my bike for the winter and early this year purchased an aftermarket gasket online and changed the gasket before riding season. After I...

    CBR Tail Light Wiring?

I'll have to pop the cover up and try dabbing some sealant in the half moons. I have popped the cover off once and tried cleaning the surface and reinstalling. It has sealed good all around except the one. The gasket seems to have seated in place good in the groove in the cover.

    CBR Tail Light Wiring?

It isn't an OEM gasket no.. Our local dealer isn't very good to deal with, so I just go online usually. The gasket does seem like quality material though. It is one of the half moon cutouts that it is leaking, maybe I'll try and find some of that yamabond and apply it in there. I hope I don't...

    CBR Tail Light Wiring?

I'll have to try it out more to confirm, I have only tested it once. It may have been something to do with how I was riding as we are just barely melted enough to get out. There is still a lot of dirt and gravel on the roads. Perks of northern Canada...

    CBR Tail Light Wiring?

Just thought I'd share, I got the new light all wired up and installed, along with my new bags. I'm very happy with how it turned out. I ended up finding a local electronic repair shop that had 5ohm 50watt resistors in stock. I added one of those to each of my signals and they flash at a stock...

What rating of resistors did you use?

    CBR Tail Light Wiring?

So I purchased another light that has the signals, I am now wondering for the resistors, can you tie the resistor to the signal wire and to the brake light ground? The signal wires don't have a ground they are only one wire.

    CBR Tail Light Wiring?

Thanks for the replys guys. I'll have to take a look on eBay and order one up. I purchased a set of bags that I'm going to try and squeeze on, and the stock signals are right in the way. So I'd like eliminate those and have the integrated
