They're shorter than stock (I wanted to drop the back) and work well for normal riding but they may bottom out if I carry a passenger - not a big problem because nobody will sit up behind me anymore
I put a set of cheap RFY eBay shocks on mine - going well for 2 years now (I did change the springs a few months ago for a slightly stiffer set I had lying around)
I did my own vinyl wrap and it only turned out ok - not brilliant...
I used a brushed textured vinyl which didn't take to all the curves easily because it was so heavy and most of the bends & joins have lifted over time. If I was to do it again I'll get a professional to do it and use a thinner...
I would put money into a 17" wheel before a braced swing arm! That 15" bias ply tire will flex more than the frame + swing arm ever will - especially if its under pressurized
It's the coil that will burn - the points sit in the closed position so long that they will over saturate the COP and they quickly overheat. Regular coils are big enough that they don't suffer from this effect
Won't work if the bike has points - they'll burn before you have a chance to turn the motor over (I tried on my xs750)
