    GO PRO HD 86 vmax

The beauty with the GoPro is the endless variety of mounts. You can clamp them in the handlebar, front shock, rear grab bar, water pump pipe, suck it on the faux tank, use helmet cam or chest mount. Endless possibilities. See "Additional mounts" to the right...

    GO PRO HD 86 vmax

I have a video from last summer, here in the far north, riding my 2005 Vmax. I had in my pocket a Canon SD980IS, simply put it in my helmet, closed the visor and tried not to sneeze. Since then I bought a GoPro and will do some filming this summer. Enjoy (or not, depending on taste...)...

    My new headlight

A little bit off this topic (sorry, but I promised pic's), but here is my Ram with 49" Iroks, four-link air aft air suspension, 500 Hp and 920 Ft/lbs of torque. The Tacoma is wearing 41" tires... :eusa_dance::eusa_dance:

    My new headlight

Just changed the bulb sockets. Very simple, no heavy thinking really needed since there's only high and low beam in there. Simple enough for me to do without messing up... ;) The buckets I see on eBay now are all with the mounting bracket, that's bolted on the bucket itself. I didn't use that...

    Engine smokes right after start

Well, it has stopped this... Only did this smoking for few startups, then quit. I added about 1/8 qt of oil to have it precisely on the upper mark. Now I can monitor oil usage accurately (think I didn't fill right up on oil change this spring).

    Engine smokes right after start

When I started my bike yesterday, it produced blue oil smoke for few seconds after start. Not much, but noticable. Then everything normal. After being shut down for few hours the same happened again. No abnormal engine sounds whatsoever and all seems normal after these first few seconds. Is...

    My new headlight

I think the clamps are originally for windscreen mount. Not really sure since I bought them directly from a guy that had this layout on his bike before. Then the triangular mounts are just hand made as well as the spacers.

Whoa! Thanks for this. I'll order the replacement parts and I'll be careful when installing. :clapping::eusa_dance:

Coolant leaks through hole in pump

Thanks! :punk: I'll probably buy a new pump... a crappy lifespan of only 7000 miles. :hmmm:

Coolant leaks through hole in pump

There is a small hole on the bottom of the water pump that has coolant spilling out it. Any ideas? Is this hole perhaps supposed to be plugged? :ummm:

    Pad changes through the years?

:ummm:I own a '05 Max and am trying to shop brake pads on eBay. It seems that '85-'92 have the same pads (according to the ad) but I'm unable to find if there have been any changes after that. Perhaps all years use the same brake pads??? Any ideas?

    My new headlight

There were no surprises but I filed about 1/2" off the lower brackets for the original light, just to have more freeplay adjusting the beam up and down. I bought the bucket used, and the glass new at a H-D dealer. The guy that sold me the bucket also had the clamps and plates. I then made some...
