I took the pump apart and the doohickey diaphragm was out of the spot were it was suppose to be. i put it back in place and inspected the rest of the pump. I thought i had it fixed, but the pump has a crack in it( the thing that looks like a accelerator pump). I pressure checked it and flowed it...

The fuel pump took a dump on my 85 max. I was going to order a new oem until I figured out they get $150+ for one! Anybody have a good suggestions for a replacement that will be reliable and lower cost. I have seen the junk crap at the parts store that last 2 days, so thats not an option...

Tap went off without a hitch. A/F mixture screw in perfect now.:clapping:

The hole is clean. o ring removed. Threads damaged. Hopefully I can run the tap down it to clean it up. Did I read right that the tap size is 6mm with .5 pitch? I was not sure about the mm size as I could not find a tap this fine ANYWHERE in town. I ended up ordering one from a plumbing supply...

Do the python bars feel wide enough? The stock bars feel completely wrong to me. Is there a difference in how the handlebars fit from the 85-92 as opposed to the 93+?

Is anybody using drag bars that dont hit the airbox cover(faux gas tank). I have searched this site a quite a bit, and cant find specific bars. I dont have a large budget, So $100 bars are out. Thanks, Brad My max is a 85 if it makes any difference.

I found a can. I went with a d&d 4" round. Its long(17") I will cut it down probably to 12". It was cheep!

I called two brothers and they dont make the pipe anymore. They didnt know anything about it, nor did they care to even try to help with a can. I think any 2" can will work. How does that max sound with the two brothers pipe and the c5 can cut down?

I bought the bike up in minnesota. The bike has had a few changes, But I have not yet been in the carbs. I assume someone has been there as the carbs are numbered and it runs pig fat. I think they might have had a header on it and sold it with the stock pipe on it. It has K&N filter stacks on...
