Got this Renntec backrest/carrier (she calls it her butt-stop) on Ebay for just over a hunnert shipped and I love it. Had to cobble a bit to make it work with the hard bags, but that's the fun. Would recommend. Raining so I had to take the pictures in the garage--sorry about the lack of quality.

What kind of exhaust is he running? Can't tell by the video--not with my eyes.

I agree, Matt. But I also believe the motor loves that cold dense air and makes more power. Trade-off is that the tires don't warm up as much in colder weather, and cracking the trottle hard can get more exciting than usual.

I can't handle putting the Max away for the winter. I mean, people ride snowmobiles, right? Biggest hurdle is usually the driveway--200 yds. long and only 1/2 blacktop. If I can get it to the street and the roads are dry, I'll ride if it's 30 or above. Dress right, and you don't notice the cold...

I'd hate to ride while worrying about that blower belt sanding off my knee cap.

I bought Fat Max hard bags. Not cheap, but worth it if you use your bike for transportation. They will hold a coat, boots, overpants and gloves, no sweat. The bags lock, but would be easy to break into if a MF'ing thief was really motivated. On the other hand, I depend on the fact that the MF'er...
