When I rebuilt mine i noticed the difference. the whole was way off compared to the the little alignment tit thing compared to the oem. Luckily before i put them together.

i took the ends off of the grips. took the dremel and grinded the hole in the grip to same size as I.D. of handle bars. Bar end mirrors fit perfect and the grip ends will bolt back up if u ever need them.

Finished up the Led signals and flasher. Put the fly screen back together and installed. Need to adjust headlight, Sync carbs, change oil and put the black chrome scoops on when they get here.

I took my OEM flyscreen apart 5 months ago. I got new rubber washers nuts and screws. Now i can't remember where the rubber washer goes.:ummm: If somone could look at their's I would be very grateful.

U can use bar ends with the Kuryakyn Iso Grips. Take the end cap off and use the dremel to make hole just a tad bigger than i.d. of bar. I done my flame grips that way. Used the ones off of ebay, worth $16.00 + s& h.

Had to replace it due to it being fogged on the out side from something. I bought it off of ebay like that. Mine was good just broke trip stem and scratched case.

Just changed out my lens with one that isn't fogged. It takes alot of patience.:bang head: First u got to pry that little lip up on the back. It takes alittle at a time going all the way around till it is straight up.:damn angry: Then twisting prying alittle and pulling. Putting it back on just...

pick up coils i got from yamaha parts depot 280 i think. Tci unit from john furbur at rmsportmax.

I just went through something like this with my 90 model. Follow the pick up wire all the way to the case. When i replaced mine it was orignal and the wires had factory splices just outside the case that were exposed touching each other, Didn't know until i replaced it. It would ohm out fine but...

Did u use the keyster nozzle jet brass. the part the needle goes in that the jet block goes over? If u did itmay be the problem it doen't line up like the stock one does with the jet block.

At idle or best there of, does the rpm jump up and down alot? :confused2: If so check ur coils for cracks. My 90 model done it all of sudden also and coils checked good. Had cracks in three of them. Do the cop and c what happens.
