    18 inch solid rear wheel

It's hard to tell from the picture, is that the Vrod wheel modified with a Vmax center welded in that's being sold on eBay? If so, they're good wheels, I got one on my bike with no problems!

Show us your better half! GF/ WIFE/BF

The brown one, and the black one are sisters, and the 2 tan ones are puppies from the black one. Now the smallest of the puppies is also pregnant, and is going to have a single puppy. Unplanned pregnancy, it's only her first heat, and the father is her father! (my daughter's chihuahua is the...

Show us your better half! GF/ WIFE/BF

They may be dogs, but they're the only females in my life at the moment other than my mother and daughter!

Show us your better half! GF/ WIFE/BF

Well, we're not married, but here are some pictures of the current love of my life. The first 2 are of us at a scooter rally, the last one is the rest of the family (and I love them all). Best girls I've ever loved, never ask me who I've been with, no matter what hour of the day or night I get...

    " dilemma "

Another thought. Rather than putting it on a CC, you might want to look into getting a home equity line of credit, and paying it off with that. With a home equity line of credit, I believe (but I'm not 100% sure of this) that the interest you pay would be tax deductible, where a credit card...

    Gas price

Actually I think this is the oil companies response to all the recent talk about alternative energy. When the cost of energy is high, everyone wants alternative energy, but now that the costs have dropped, nobody's worried about it anymore! Just another way to manipulate the general...

    500 miles today

Trying to make my Max more comfortable I've lowered the pegs, tried a Corbin seat (went back to the stock seat), hiway pegs, and strangly enough the one thing that made the biggest difference was when I changed the bar. I got one of the bars that are identical to the factory bar, but 2" wider...

    Here's the deal...

I don't know all the details, but is it possible that he's a moron, and was getting screwed over by a local dealer, or shop? They might have told him how they got it into tip top shape while doing as little as possible to it. It certainly wouldn't be the first time a shop screwed over an...

    I hate traffic!

I live in Fort Lauderdale FL, and I too really enjoy riding late at night! It's cooler, and all the blue haired old folks that consider 25 mph speeding are safely asleep, or at least off the road! Of course if you go riding too late, then the only folks on the roads are the cops, cabs, and...

    Tyre Sealants Puncture Proofing

I use a product called Ride-On (http://www.ride-on.com) that unlike Slime actually acts as a balancing agent. I used it in the tires on my Vulcan 750 as well as my Vespa scooter, and after installing it, and riding around 5-10 miles to distribute it in the tire the bikes actually started riding...

    I still need footpegs...

Are the pegs for an 85 different than the ones from a 2004? If not, and you just need the pegs themselves (without the mounting brackets) let me know, I have a pair I took off my max, and I have no use for them. -MikeS

    wheel wanted

I too have one of these wheels on my Vmax, and have put about 2000 miles on it without any issues. Maybe my eyes are going bad, but I don't notice any offset on my wheel. -MikeS

    Holy helmet shock, Batman!

I had been using a 'brain bucket' mostly although I do have a KBC full face that I wear once in a while. Just yesterday I bought a new Fulmer 3/4 helmet as I wanted more protection than the half helmet offered. I'm really happy with it, it fits good, and is actually quieter than the 1/2 helmet...

    " insurance "

Here in FL with GEICO I pay $80/year for 100/300 liability, and comprehensive. I don't have collision, or uninsured motorist coverage. If I added the uninsured motorist it would add $1200/year to the policy! I get discounts for multiple bikes, and being a 'mature' motorist (old). my other bike...

    Metzler Tire Question?

On my Vespa scooter I use Pirelli SL26 tires, and they have 2 different directional arrows, one for front wheel, one for rear wheel, and yes they are opposite each other. So I would say that it's probably a good thing to mount the tire in the proper direction for the mounting position! -MikeS
