Your old, used diaphragm spring and new Yamaha diaphragm spring. DD-mod. Ditch the EBC crap. I had brand new clutch and it slipped, did the DD-mod and no more slipping clutch.

Have you measured that new clutch is in spec? If it is, buy original Yamaha spring and ditch that EBC one. I did dd-mod with old original and new original springs, and it slips only from rear tyre now.

I had Exactrep’s set, I think it can hold weight just as original. It uses original footpegs. I had to drill some holes a bit to get them on, it wasnt a big deal but worth a mention.

Does this lock-up clutch intentionally slip at launch/low rpm’s? Or does it bite like DD-mod? Looking for a lighter clutch lever.

Rounded / broken bolts can be easily removed by weldind a nut on top, heat from welding loosens bolt itself and good quality nut can stand some torque, and if it breaks off you just re do it.

What about final drive, is it original? Or venture, which I believe has longer gear ratio? I think it should still rev past 6,5k though. Mysterious case.

I want to hear how this bike idles and revs. I would also pull the spark plugs to see if they are all the same colour and then measure temperatures of each cylinder exhausts at idle or steady 2 k rpm maybe. Just to get the basics checked.

Hows the spark plugs, are they all same colour etc? Might be worth to check them. On front cylinders spark plug wires are crossed (from left coil to right cylinder and vice versa) those are put wrong way many times.
