Like otthers have said, T6 Rotella is JASO MA certified, I run it in my Blackbird and the Max. I wouldn't be concerned about the RPM's and thrashing, a lot of diesel applications have high pressure/high volume oil pumps that can get up to 2500 psi that actuate injectors, etc that pretty well...

Shell T-6 Rotella goes in my Honda CBR-1100xx, Vmax and Ford F-350. Its been a excellent bike oil that one can purchase conveniently at WalMart :p

The only diffence between the 1985 and 1986 Vmax was that Pee Wee Gleason totally fell for the free Ex-Lax Milkshakes the day before the offical 1/4 mile run.

Rotella T6 synthetic 5-40 is a really good fill. It's even JASO-MA rated now, meaning its a rated oil for motorcycles. No additives that will cause clutch slip. I use it in my CBR1100XX, ZX-14 and my Vmax before I tore it down...

I'm disappointed that the Gen II is overpriced by about $6000.00 and doesn't dominate the 1/4 like the Gen I during it's era. If the bike weighed in close to the Gen I and had a price tag of $12,999.00 then it would have been perfect. :(
