Hey there,
My finace' usually rides with. It'd be cool to have another V-Maxer to run around with on occasion.

I dropped my bike down the front tubes an inch or so. Sure makes it handle better. The only negative is that the brake line will rub against the radiator on compression - the vibration it creates can be a little unnerving if you aren't paying attention.
I went out and rode my bike a few blocks the other day after not running it for a couple months. The battery did not seem to be low in the least after all the sitting in the cool weather. It made me wonder if I need to remove it or disconnect it all this winter.
Do you guys that live in cold...
A while back I posted a question about how to consistently get a smooth shift from 1st to 2nd gear on my 2007 'Max. Much was discussed - thanks to all.
I wanted to point out an observation I've made. I have read in this forum that, when buying a used 'Max, one thing to check is the proper...
My fiance' invited a her friends over the other day (a couple). I have a Beta 525RR woods bike, a Honda Express scooter, a couple riding lawn mowers, and the 'Max. Assuming the guy (very cool guy BTW) would be intimidated by a BRAND NEW 2007 1200CC bike that looks...well...like a V-Max looks - I...
There is nothing that feels cooler than taking off at an intersection such that you get the revs up to about 5500 as you are hitting the crown (middle of the intersection), then nailing it and carrying the tire 6" off the ground all the way to the other side.
Probably no better way to get a...
I dropped my 2007 down 1-1/2" on the fork tubes. WOW! What a difference in handling. I prefer it big time. The only problem is that now the clutch and brake lines are in a permanently bowed position and sitting against the radiator, where they will surely rub the paint off of the radiatior...
I prefer my rebounds set at 1 when it's just me. My fiance' says she feels like she's being catapulted off the bike with them set at 1, so when we double up, I set them at 4. I weigh 270. She does not. :eusa_dance:
This discussion has really been educational for me. "red98VMax" has solved my problem. Putting pressure on the shifter prior to shifting alleviates most of the clunking. I was skeptical at first, but I kept an open mind and it works!
And this is why it works, IMO. It seems that the VMax has a...
