    FS: 1985 - 2007 Vmax COMPLETE FRAME

Hey Fire-medic, I'm in Redondo Beach in southern California. I believe you were one of the members who helped me tremendously when I was restoring my '88 Vmax last year. Shipping to most states from here runs between $217 and $350. I can work with you on the shipping cost if need be. Also, let...

SOLD: Gen I STOCK Vmax SEAT

Hey Lewis, Thanks for the offer, but one of our forum members in Michigan took me up on the offer. He swapped me his SportMax seat, which is very similar to the stock Yamaha unit. Both of our saddles are in transit at the moment. I'll take down this thread once the swap is complete. Best...

Has anyone found a SILENT FUEL PUMP?

Maybe the Kerker fuel pump noise canceller is a better way to go!

Has anyone found a SILENT FUEL PUMP?

Yeah, and the car dealer tells me the rattle in my dashboard can be eliminated with the 100-watt stereo turned way up! As for the Mr. Gasket 42S, I see that it is quite long, with the fuel inlet on one end and the outlet on the other. Doesn't that make it a pretty tight fit and necessitate...

Has anyone found a SILENT FUEL PUMP?

HI. I know it's normal for Gen I Vmax fuel pumps to click, right? I've noticed that clicking is loud enough to hear while idling at stoplights and it annoys me. Then again, most things annoy me. Seriously, has anyone found a replacement pump that is silent or near-silent? Thanks, guys. Paul

'88 V-Max starts only with choke, revs high for 1 second, then dies.

Hey, 02GF74... It's hard to know exactly what I did differently on the last rebuild, as there are so many variables (gross understatement!). Some possibilities: -- Entertained ALL Vmax forum suggestions -- Did a better job of triple-cleaning ALL carb parts with an ultrasonic cleaner -- Used...

Horn, blinkers and brake light: DEAD!

PROBLEM SOLVED! Even though all the fuses were good, one of the wires leading into the fuse block was corroded and had a bad connection. Now everything works perfectly. THANKS to all for weighing in on this. Special thanks to Sean at Morley's Muscle for his willingness to send out the loaner...

Horn, blinkers and brake light: DEAD!

Thanks for the schematic. No wonder I didn't see a fuse for those other circuits!

Horn, blinkers and brake light: DEAD!

I've had a can of Deoxit in with my electrical stuff for years. What was I saving it for?? Now, I guess.

Horn, blinkers and brake light: DEAD!

Sean atMorely's Muscle is going to loan me his electric test kit to help narrow down the problem by process of elimination. I'll keep you posted! Paul
