i had them on both front and rear pads... moved them over to the new pads and added a thin coat of permatex ultra ceramic brakelube grease... works so nice!! not a peep from the brakes, unless i squeeze a bit hard then i get a tire lock up sound :)
Yeah once I got mine I was excited about the quality and how they would look... but was bummed when I noticed they wouldn't be a direct fit replacement, these are a high quality product! Looking forward to your results and a picture or 2.
Got the ricors installed and everything reassembled (very small test drive after).
1. The install was simple (with my Haynes manual)... this is the first time I have done any work on forks at all.
2. I used the 5w amsoil they recommend and set oil height as per the manual (123mm from top of...
Got mine in a while back, putting them on tomorrow while I go to all braided brake lines/clutch line, speedo cable and throttle cable. They look great and seem to be nice quality 'specially for the price! :)
The 5w oil is in order to negate the stock damper tube, with other set-ups you need to drill out the damper tube holes to "bypass" them... RICOR makes use of the thinner oil to easily pass the stock holes while engaging the Intiminator unit
I had the "page not found" error either yestreday, or the day before... tried again just now and, success. Ordering up a set o'the black ones. My stockers look like PO got brake juice all over them, most of the paint striped off
Contacted Gary about price and availability of the V-max instrument cowl (tiny windscreen), he had one on hand, Price was simply Unbeatable and he shipped it out same day!
AWESOME!!! I told him to expect me calls and emails from me :)
As an Air Traffic Controller, we go by "Operating Initials” to identify who is on shift etc… & since all phones are recorded we end all phone calls with these initials… acts like a signature (usually the 1st letter of 1st name and last letter of last name… but can be any thing you want as long...
Just incase you miss the post in the Morley's Muscle area... Sean notified me today my wheels are shipping out, also he says, and I qoute "there are only 3 more sets available and they are going to be officially discontinued!!!! " Suggest you hurry if you were wanting a set!
Just came across these, I ordered the silver ones to go with the Machined Silver Carrs I have coming in a few weeks. I'll let you know how they work out, but I thought they might be of interest to others here. :eusa_dance:

Hmmm, well I thought I was onto something there LOL, I placed my order for the Carrs and am also placing an order for the ME880's front and rear. Not many twisty roads in Oklahoma, so I think these tires will be just what I'm looking for. Thanks all for all the great info this forum provides!!
Nevermind... I think I found my own answer, correct me if I'm wrong...
You would run he Metzler Roadtech Z6 both front and rear as it is newer tech, but they don't make a rear Z6 in 180/55/R18 size... so that leaves you with the next best thing... the ME880
I see you and Chris are both running this tire combo... I am in the process of working up the courage to order a set of the Carrs from Sean (gloss black power coat I think will look nice on my Silver max),
Question is why did you go with the Roadtech in front instead of the me880 both front and...
