    Clutch slave cylinder replacement

Fire-Medic: Thank You Pretty easy repair and solves the disappearing clutch fluid mystery! LOL It will be the last one I do on mine as it's time to let it go. Crash back in 2020, on my Indian ,has me in a place where the Max just isn't the right machine for me any longer. Awesome Machine it has...

    Failed Fuel Pump?

Had a friend offer this explanation (posted for anyone searching for input on a similar situation in the future)(Thanks Again Mr. Morley!): Your old pump may be dead or might need to be cleaned up and get any corrosion build up out. You can hit the side of the pump (not too hard) and see if...

    Failed Fuel Pump?

Had my Max spit and sputter suddenly and limped home a few weeks ago. Had Carb #2 steady flowing gas. Rebuilt carbs complete, found #2 carb float needle cone stepped; figured I had the issue sorted. Replaced rear valve cover gasket (leaking for years) and coolant and put it all back together to...

    Diff Powder Coating

Done! Just spent a good bit of time flushing the bearing, there was definitely some sand in there. Ready to get it back on the bike with my braced arm and R1 brake set-up.

Well my cheap little bench vise didn't care for your method. Time to up the game

    Diff Powder Coating

Right On. Can someone suggest a method for keeping the final drive from rotating to remove the nut (without the final drive holder)? It looks as though that would allow me to remove the seal and o-ring. Then could I leave the bearing retainer and everything behind it in place safely (I don't...

    Diff Powder Coating

Can someone please confirm or deny that it will be ok to have the left side (exposed part only) of the differential Power Coated with the final drive gear portion of the assembly in place? I have removed everything else. See Image and thank you for your feedback in advance.

    Stator?

Shindegen SH775 or Compufire SERIES style RRs are permanent solutions to these problems. They save stators by not shunting the over voltage back through the windings (unlike a MOSFET).

Ideas to remove stripped rotor bolts.

I got three out with pb blaster and my impact. For the other 3 I took my rear wheel to the shop next to my office. He used an air chisel to work a notch into the head then chip on it radially until they backed out. Good trick, sucks those things are so hard to get moving.

    FZ1 rotor and caliper modification

Feels like a dumb question but I'm asking anyway because I'm not familiar with the wheel used here. Can someone confirm the FZ1 rotor bolts right up to a stock VMax wheel? I looked the bolt circle is the same. The differences are the width of the rotor and it is a handful of mm smaller...

GSXR rear brake on Evil Max

I have thought about doing something very similar. Any chance of getting some more detail about what you did? What gixxer did that come from? If the mount is Suzuki stock was a spacer all you had to fab? Are the axles the same diameter? What was neccesary to adapt the rotor? Yours looks great!

    Shinko tires

Nothing but 777s on my GS. Got 7500 miles out of my last set (of course that bikes a little lighter and less powerful than the Max). Great sticky tire and the price is right! I like the Avon Cobras on my Max, but I'd bet the 777s perform just as good.
