    Gen. 1 Lowering Thread

Yep as far as I know they haven't adjusted their spec sheet. Thank you for following up on that! I don't want anyone to have the same troubles I did. I also posted this info on the Facebook page to alert everyone there.

    Gen. 1 Lowering Thread

Update: I suppose I should update you all on the woes I experienced when installing the racetech emulators. So I ordered the S4301 according to the Racetech website. This was supposed to be the correct model for the gen 1 Vmax - post fork diameter change. Well I tore the forks apart and...

    Rear Shock Bushings

For anyone else on the search I've attached some pics of what I received from Progressive. They are in fact 5025-10 bushings referenced above. Gonna be a tight fit but with a heat gun and some persuasion, they will work. Thanks all

    Rear Shock Bushings

Hi all, I just picked up a set of used Progressive 412s for the rear. The bushings are shot. Do yall have an idea of where I can replace bushings? I've sent an email to Progressive but I bet one you all have had the same issue. Most searches I have done have returned part no. 30-5010. This...

Thanks for the advice Mr.Midnight I already have the progressive springs so I'll run with those. I'll try the emulators straight out of the box with 10w oil. How do I set the static sag?

    Gen. 1 Lowering Thread

Thank you all for the suggestions. I'm returning to the thread as I'm planning to tackle this project in February. @MaxMidnight I have lowered the seat some already with the mid-level option from Sean. I forget the name he has for that one. I'm looking into the Race Tech Gold Emulators. I...

Parts For Sale 2007 part out.

Looks like progressive rear shocks? Are they lowered any or are they stock height?

I was aware of the front fender interference. is that an issue in the rear too? I can live with that. What do you see as causing loss of control? Obviously, peg contact with the ground could cause a loss of traction, but outside of that the bike should handle the same. I've upgraded to Otec...

Thanks for the Response Fire Medic. Why would you advise against 2"lower in the rear?

    Gen. 1 Lowering Thread

Hey everyone. I've seen a few comments on here about lowering, but I had difficulty finding a good source that answered my questions regarding lowering. I want to lower my '07. I want to maintain or improve the handling characteristics, look stylish, and allow me to flat foot the bike. 1. I...

New HD Stater Clutch Installed - Does not freewheel

The root issue has not been identified yet. The problem was the replacement flywheel/HD starter clutch/idler gear was not allowing the idler gear to spin freely. Thus when the motor was running, it turned the starter over with it. The solution was to provide my stock flywheel up for machining...
