    Dyna 3000

I am running advance four, which seems to be great cruising, but I have tried six and it seems to really bring out the top end when you want to wined it.

Re: same old jetting questions :(

Just a quick note. After dynoing today, I was infact lean with the smaller jets and now am back to the 160's ( probably need about a 155 ) Raised the clips two positions and adjusted the cables on both banks to be equal. Only made 121.3 HP with 81 torque. pretty pathetic for the cost of carbs.

Re: same old jetting questions :(

That is where I am now. I tried to contact Jon, but as when I was trying to order, he will not respond to email or phone. He has number one the worst customer service of anyone I have ever met. Just having to deal with him is reason enough to buy from UFO. I am going to try to go to Topeka next...

Re: same old jetting questions :(

It has done it on all of them all the way down to 125, so I am not sure where to go next. Any ideas ?

Re: same old jetting questions :(

OK, went up two positions with the clips and put a full set of 160's back in along with moving the accel pump linkage. Now pulls like a jet all the way to the rev-limiter and you can whack it all you want up to that 3/4 throttle and it was pulling all the way up 145mph when I had to get out of...

Re: same old jetting questions :(

Ya, I think that It has gotten worse with the smaller main jets. It wound out more with the stock carbs.

Needles are in the next to lowest slot, so one step from richest.

Re: same old jetting questions :(

Few more questions for Shawn, from what I am gathering, you can't whack flat slides, so the WOT test is out at any speed, right ? I think that I read somewhere that you can normally kill the motor by doing that . You have ease into them, which when I do that it pulls pretty good and I really do...

You don't think I am going the wrong way do you ? rumming out of fule on the top and not going rich ?

Re: same old jetting questions :(

How do you go about setting the sync ? everything I have read said to place a "SMALL DRILL BIT BELOW THE SLIDE AND ADJUST TO THAT: but I have not seen anywhere that said what size a "small" drill bit is.

Re: same old jetting questions :(

I have new plugs, and all four seem to be chattering nicely ( idleing 1500rpm on the dot. I have yet to look at the clip position or idle screws, I was just trying to get the mains right first since they affect the needles too. there are one set of push pull cables per bank of two.
