    Carb question

I will check the cables this weekend. It does not accel in a turn without my input. I am running factory cables...at least I am assuming they are factory since I have never changed them. Richard

    Carb question

I have only riden my vmax so I dont have anything to compare to but when I am accelerating through a turn or from a stop light if have like maybe an 1/8 of a throttle turn with no input then it catches and gives your arms a good yank, other than this the bike seems to run good. I have a UFO...

The OIL thread. All oil related questions here.

Any word from the dealership on what they found with your bike? Which dealer is it at? I run Rotella 15w40 in mine, I read somewhere that the "c" rated oils have a higher sheer factor which is supposed to be a good thing with the wet clutch setup. not sure how much truth there is to that, I also...

    Wonder/Weave issue

I have been having this wondering weave type issue that would come and go after riding for a while, almost temp related at times but really inconsistant. I ended up replacing the steering head bearings after checking several things, I even put a new front tire on it cause it had a...

    180 rear tire question

Is anyone running a 180 rear tire on a stock rim? will it fit? I have a notched/braced swingarm so clearance shouldnt be an issue but will the rim hold that wide of a tire? Thanks

    swingarm question

I did pull it apart and reset the swingarm torque and it feels much better at speeds. I am still getting a weird feeling when I have been running at freeway speeds and then I merge off and start to slow down it feels like the bike just wants to wander all over and I am constantly correcting...

    New front tire

Its time for a new front tire, as my decel wobble has been traced back to be front shinko tourmaster and its near 1/4" wobble, rim is straight but the tire seems to almost have a bubble like a seperation or something. So I have narrowed my option down to either a pirelli sport demon or a...

    swingarm question

I did a search and didn't come up with anything definitive. Can you adjust/torque the swing arm pivot bolts/nuts with the rear wheel/tire on the bike? does the rear have to be off the ground? I am getting a weird feeling that seems to be coming from the rear, feels like the rear is skating around...

    synch question

Just to make sure I am understanding this correctly...to calibrate the tool I need to hook all four guages to the #2 port and the same time?

    synch question

The tool I am using is the same style as the one Miles posted a picture of. I will verify all guages read identically when plugged into #2 port. I will also check the tabs the adjuster screw work against. thanks

    synch question

I did a search and didn't find anything real similar. I am synching my carbs with the vacuum guage style tool, I can get the left carbs in synch with each other and the right side carbs in synch with each other but the left side guages are readings 15-17" and the right side guages are reading...

    Tank Sealer

Has anyone tried this fuel tank sealer? http://www.caswellplating.com/aids/epoxygas.htm I am starting to get so much rust and crap from my tank it is time to do something about it. I have read mixed reviews about all the sealer kits but this one has mostly good reviews. Has anyone tried this...

    Rear brake stay bar

Thinking about it now it does make sense that those points would NOT need to pivot....thank you for clearing that up! Richard
