I use this filter wrench: I think it cost about 15 bucks at Sears. I just put the torque wrench on it and tighten. Last oil change, I did put it on hand tight, and then used the torque wrench. I was surprised at how much more I had to tighten the filter to get it to the correct spec...

Do we have any information on how to go about a throttlebody sync? The old VMax was super easy... Remove the plugs, hook up the carb sticks, sync on cylinder 2 IIRC... I am about to get my 600 mile done, and I would like to re-sync the throttle bodies afterward to make sure they got it...

Yep, the black is the dino, the silver is the blend, and the gold is the full synth as far as I can tell. However, there is no silver or gold 10w40 AFAIK.

This bike is so much easier to change oil than my past two bikes. Drop the oil, drop the filter, fill the filter, wait until it soaks down the oil level to 1/2 way, put on the filter, torque to 150 inlbs, plug the drain, torque to 380 inlbs, put 5 quarts of oil in... Done After circulating...

I don't think so. Normal Yamalube 10w40 is a dino oil. I'm going to go synthetic around 3k. Until then, I am going with the normal Yamalube stuff.

Well that is the only thing I have noticed out of the ordinary so far. Everything else is spot on. Fuel mileage seems to probably be around 30 to 35, however, I am getting about 18 or 19... I'm hitting the bike pretty hard for the break-in.
