I don't believe the fan will run key off, on mine it is a ways up on the guage before it kicks on but not in the red zone, have you tried grounding the wire on the thermo switch?........with key on it should kick the fan relay into action......Tom.

On a stock V-Max you need to keep air in the forks, not sure of the psi but the schrader valves are located at the top of each fork under the threaded cap, you can try this or install progressive springs, I have done the springs and it makes a world of difference, as far as the grooved pavement...
There are tutorials on U Tube on how to deal with the noisey starter clutch on our V-Max, not usually a big deal, the fastners will work loose over time, be sure to inspect all parts for cracks/damage, you will need a good puller and grade 8 fastners to get the flywheel off.
